I was thinking that, if this is true, "criminals" can make their DNA 'vanish' by getting a transplant of bone marrow and not be 'connected' to a crime as long as there is no other physical evidence of your presence.
This also means you can't have kids after you get a transplant because it won't be yours.
In this life, there's always a 'good and bad' part of doing thing's isn't there.
Damned if you do and damned if you don't so to speak...
Quoting: 1guynAz Unintended consequences ...... Quoting: Lady Jayne Smith Can you imagine if they got transplants and had kids afterwords without knowing this will happen????? Maybe went on for years and not knowing. The implications. Quoting: 1guynAz They would still love the children as their own, but yes, they and the kids need to know, as well as the donor. If the donor has any genetic propensity for certain diseases/conditions, the kids need to know for their own sake, as well as to make an informed choice about whether they wish to have children. I guess the upside is this could lessen the chances of the kids developing cancer. Another question: If this happens every time, does the recipient have a far lesser chance of the cancer recurring? Maybe a positive unintended consequence? What about women? Does the DNA of their eggs change? Women are born with all the eggs they will ever have, so will this change the DNA of the eggs? Or does it only impact sperm, as sperm is produced as needed in the male body? What if a man/woman receives the donation from a person of the opposite sex? Will their DNA change gender? (Not trying to get the gender switchers all happy here)
