And that's exactly what I'm doing....after a fucking scene at the door at the Portal to Hell.

I bought a gallon of milk and cat food. I walked towards the door and the lady asked me for my receipt. I could not find it.

The bitch asked me to stand aside. I said this is ridiculous, the people behind me were echoing the sentiment.

So, we went over to the register where I had self checked out, but someone had already checked something out and my receipt couldn't be recouped.

The two employees put their heads together and the women who made me stand aside said she didn't want to put me through a CSM....whatever that means, but it didn't sound pleasant.

She then said she'd let me go...like she was doing me a favor.

I went off on her....called her a fucking cunt, right there in the store. I was screaming. Lawdy, I was so pissed off.

I went out to the car and found the receipt. I took it back into the store, and the woman was LAUGHING as I stormed up to her, and put it up in her face. She wouldn't even look at it.

I threw it at her and told her she needed to frame it, because it was the receipt that would stop me from coming in the store ever again, four to five times a week. The cunt...and all that was after a run in with another extremely rude empolyee.

There are other stores, and those are the ones I'm going to use now.

To be honest, I'm more disgusted with the growing element of our society caused their reaction and will steal anything not screwed down, even off my private property.

And I'm equally disgusted with the ignorant or lazy or both who run over you entering the exit at WM and exiting the entrance.

I own the goods as soon as I've paid for them and I am under no requirement to prove that to the shopkeeper or anyone else. Possession is 9/10s of the law.


If you think I've stolen something, call the cops. You better be right, though, because stopping someone without cause is false imprisonment and the store can be sued for it.

Used the self checkout and forgot to scan my large TP. I'm glad they checked and I promptly went and paid for it.

Don't shop there, if you don't like it. I don't like people stealing stuff. I just always keep my reciept in my hand when I'm walking out the door.

I hear some stores in ghettos have everything behind the counter and an employee retrieves what you want. Places where people steal more than what they pay for.

The moment you pay for the items, they are no longer store property, but your property. Walmart is a private corporation. They have no right to search your belongings, no matter what their ignorant of the law employees think.

It's not a matter of the time, although in many areas people are waiting 15 minutes in aline to be checked, it is the relinquishing of hard won freedoms, which will be very much missed when gone.

This is what it is. This past holiday season was the worst. The local Barnes and Noble practically had all the expensive cool stuff ripped off. Harry Potter items, all the cool Japanese anime items. People just ripped open the boxes and took what they wanted.

I agree. They look out for the consumer too. I got charged for gillette razors (which aren't cheap) and they didnt put them in my cart. Caught it because the lady in back of me in line got them in her cart. They caught that too.

And finally, they are not looking for random shoplifters. Most losses are from employee theft. They are checking your receipt to see if the cashier rang it up properly.

They lose millions from the cashier being in cahoots with the person checking out, ringing up $300 worth of items for $27.50

I was completely shocked that I was treated like a criminal after shopping there, the person I was with acted like it was completely normal said they do it to EVERYONE!!!

I am like why the HELL would you shop at a store that has SHIT customer service and TREATS YOU LIKE A CRIMINAL???

Remember 20 years ago department stores would treat you like a king or queen, how fall America has fallen.

I asked nicely what they were “checking” when they asked- the lady told me they look at the receipt for items that aren’t bagged.

And, every time all my items are in bags, they don’t ask to check.

It's part of your membership contract with Costco. I have no such contract with Walmart and will not show them my receipt

I won't check myself out unless there is a discount involved.

Since I'm doing the work of their employee, I expect to be paid for doing so.
