the Historical Biblical narrative is supported by outside sources
Ever hear of The Amarna letters sometimes referred to as the Amarna tablets, This papyrus is important as it lists towns in Canaan during the New Kingdom.

City states mentioned in the book of Joshua thus have been confirmed to exist from non Biblical writing from the time period of Joshua.

THE BIBLICAL NARATIVE IS HISTORICAL—- THE DIVINE INTERACTION HAPPENED

If you've read the back of the book,
you know how this story ends.
(and it will be beyond GLORIOUS
for the children of God)
For those who reject the Lord,
it would be better for them to have
never been born at all.

Re: the Historical Biblical narrative is supported by outside sources
BTW, interesting to see the politics, some of the text is kind of psycho. Looks like the Canaanites where killing one another, before the Habiru where f'ing their shit up, and the city of Shechem allied with the Habiru*.

Amusingly, they said "if you send archers the land will remain, no archers and the land will be lost". Incidentally, I don't remember the Canaanites having archers in any of the old stories.

Bleh, can't find the link where part of the text was obsessed with the number 7 in a psycho way. Could of been because of the whole Jericho thing...

*Some sources indicate that they where just "people from the countryside", while other sources indicate the term means slaves/bandits and etc. The first could be a form of academic gaslighting, the second would fit with how the Egyptians and Canaanites would view the Israelite's.
