IMHO malt scotch and sour mash whiskey have a "perfume" taste to me...me no like!

Try a blended scotch...Johnny Walker Black Label is my personal favorite!

Lagavulin. You can find the 8 year in the $60 range.
Laphroaig 10yr is around $50
Ardbeg 10yr around $60.

A good Talisker costs around 50-60 Euro's!

After sampling many in Scotland in the mid- 80s from Glen Livit to Old Sheep Dip, my favorit is Glem Marangy.

Oban 14 years Single Malt 70CL, only € 44,50in Belgium!

Pendryn from Wales is excellent. Loads of good Jap whiskies too. BTW I'm Scottish
