Thickish ash fall over everything outside right now where I am in Rizal, up north, which you would think is far from the eruption site. Also I feel a mild but disturbing hot, thick something in the air as it enters my throat. Hoping it's psychosomatic but I don't think so... If you stand outside, you could actually feel the ash falling all over you. Oh, shit! [ link to imgur.com (secure)] [ link to imgur.com (secure)] I'm up in Nueva Ecija, about 100 mi (160 km) North of Taal super volcano. Taal lake is actually a large caldera. Metro Manila is only 50 mi (80 km) North of Taal super volcano. Reports of ashfall occurring in Quezon City. NAIA (Manila International Airport) is currently closed. Flights being diverted to Clark Field or other regional airports. There were dozens of earthquakes in Batangas province in 2019. Several months ago, I told my wife that Mt. Taal is awakening with all the recent earthquakes.
