Almost whole of the Luzon Island is covered under eruption plume. [ link to www.windy.com (secure)] This will be VEI3 at least, next few hours crucial, if the eruption will not lessen we are looking at potential VEI 6 cataclysm over the whole Luzon. NOT GOOD. No ashfall here yet in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija 100 mi (160 km) North of Taal. Ashfall right know is probably not that big and local to the nearest surroundings of volcano. Thanks for updates, stay safe. btw, what you can see on the satelitte is mainly cloud that is product of intense heat,steam,gasses coming from the vent. The red area does not represent the volcanic ash/pyroclastic cloud. Not true. As I have reported, there is definite ashfall and sulfuric air as far north as Rizal where I am right now. This is definitely nowhere near the volcano. This is further away than Metro Manila.
