The entire Lake Taal is a 20km wide caldera with more than a dozen volcanic cones within it.

It's Alert Level 4, not 5 as of yet.

The LPA or invest 90W is too far to even affect it look at satellite imagery most of its convection is in a poleward motion not even going to the Philippines. Global models don't even have it going to the Philippines or even intensify it because of unfavorable upper level environment, HIGH SHEAR and there's a weakness in the subtropical ridge that's why the poleward motion.

St Helens was 1980 (VEI 5). Pinatubo was 1991 (VEI 6) and much larger (10 times) than St Helens.
