Lots and lots of green.

Not to mention the products used to build these things along with their so-called carbon foot print to produce. Epoxy, fiber-glass, plastics and carbon fiber are not exactly growing on trees.

If people are going to take my cheeseburgers and steaks, they better damn well not pollute the land said cheeseburgers and steaks were raised on.

Use blades to build the wall!! Cut them in half then set the fuckers in concrete.

How do you wear something out that only the wind touches. Seem more like the company who made them was making a lot more money by producing items they got paid for but the parts never used.
Wind farms seem to be 'sensitive', make them water-proof and put them where ocean currents can spin them (like all of Canada's Grand Banks) and the output year round would not vary much.

It's not a dichotomy, you dummy.

Nuclear power and it's waste is needless as well.

Clean hydro, coal, gas, all perfectly good alternatives,
just not as profitable to TPTB.

 Quoting: Trained Noticer

Hydro kills fish, Coal is never clean even if you are able to burn it cleanly it is very dirty to extract it from the ground, fracking gas causes earthquakes and pumps chemicals into the ground, etc. Nothing is clean.
 Quoting: Achduke7

coal is cleaner than chemtrails, fracking does NOT cause earthquakes - WIND TURBINES do.

look up the recent thread on this.

coal is made by nature and it is nature's intention that it reenter the natural cycle

nothing in nature is not used again
 Quoting: beeches

Strip mining is not cleaner then chemtrails. Fracking can produce localized earthquakes and the chemicals they use are poisonous and the process can also leach poisons already in the ground into drinking water and aquifers.

[link to earthworks.org (secure)]

Does Fracking Cause Earthquakes? Hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking,” (a drilling process that injects millions of gallons of water, sand and chemicals under high pressure into a well, cracking the rock and to release natural gas and oil) has only been known to rarely cause earthquakes.

Other than Nuclear I am not against most energy producing. They are a necessary evil but they all pollute.

Nuclear sounds great but I do not trust the profitability of a company to do what is right. Profitability always overrules safety until some agency steps in. Which is unfortunate because I despise big government.

The $200,000 it takes to decommission a $4,000,000 tower should be factored into the complete ROI but that still does not detract that wind can be profitable.

How else would you suggest we quantify the risk vs benefits of various energy producing mechanisms?

Just saying "wind turbines cause waste therefore let's not use them" is not a valid analysis.

It's great to be aware of the waste that is generated. We should look into it and optimize their implementation. But let's not lose sight of the overall benefit of clean energy initiatives.

they never "consider", they only try to make money.

not a profit, these things generally don't - they do suck up taxpayer money like a sponge the size of the Antarctic

Its funny every time i drive through a wind mill farm half of them are not turning and looks like most of them are broken ...

As Oil or some lube or something is pouring out the moters...

Then you have the killings of millions of birds and thousands of bats...

And even if the wind is blowing hard ,like i said half of them are not spinning ..

And i think its near 22 cents a kw ...While Coal last i looked is near 7 cents ...

Big Differene...

I mean if we are all WIND power,We will ..ALL BE POOR...As Electric will be double....

GO WIND..YAY...

Germany’s wind and solar experiment have failed: the so-called ‘Energiewende’ (energy transition) has turned into an insanely costly debacle.

German power prices have rocketed; blackouts and load shedding are the norm; and idyllic rural communities are now industrial wastelands (see picture).

Hundreds of billions of euros have been squandered on subsidies to wind and solar, all in an effort to reduce carbon dioxide gas emissions. However, that objective has failed too: CO2 emissions continue to rise.

But you wouldn’t know it from what appears in the mainstream media. Its reticence to report on what’s actually going on in Germany probably stems from the adage about success having many fathers, and failure being an orphan. Having promoted Germany as the example of how we could all ‘transition’ to an all RE future, it’s pretty hard for them to suck it up and acknowledge that they were taken for fools.
