How sad. I saw the same thing happen on the Texas coast years ago. Fishing where a narrow channel from the Gulf to the bay was, maybe 20 yards wide. There were large boulders at the cut that waves regularly crashed into. A couple with two kids wandered near it, and they let the kids climb onto the boulders. The very next wave took them and washed them out into the gulf. Gone in a flash.
