Paul preached to strive not with others, to not harm others, that we fight and wrestle against spirits, so we know he was not saying that he had to whoop some ass in Ephesus to really show some people that Jesus Christ is Lord and his disciples know how to fight! He's saying that he had to fight animals to save his life.

I’m with OP on this. Scripture speaks of Paul fighting the beasts in Ephesus. And there was a colosseum for fighting beasts in Ephesus while he was there. No need to twist scripture and say ‘well... by beasts he must have meant rude humans!’

No, it means beasts as in animals at the colosseum. This was stated after he stated all the other insane trials he had to endure. After reading about everything else he went through why does your brain have a problem believing he also got put in a coliseum with wild animals especially when other scripture backs this up that believers were killed in the most inhuman ways?
