I LOL at the people of faith that spend time on these threads, the op is not trying to convince YOU he is trying to convince himself.

Having faith in something is not a negative, I can't fault humans for trying, life on earth is challenging, and it's nice to pretend we have answers. It's only when religious dogma and those who indoctrinate themselves to negative mindsets and behaviors in dedication to or pursuit of their dogmas, that I get annoyed. The exclusivity of narrow minded unfounded faith systems that have no basis in fact or reality and get crammed down peoples throats from birth are well, pretty fucked.

Examining the origin and validity of that faith structure is imperative, and the Bible, like many other so called handbooks for life, fall very short of truth and lean into man made myth, altered time and time again by exclusively men, in order to exact control. It just doesn't hold up, as most that claim their way, their faith, is the only one, another man made concept.

One thing you are apt to determine in a vigorous spiritual quest, and comparative religious analysis, is that all paths lead to source, we all come from the same place, and it is indefinable in human terms or constructs, but never the less exists in alternate realms.

There is a spirit world, if you will, and there are energies and levels and some have much light and love and some are negative dark realms, we are all influenced by these other planes of soul existence here on earth, but to varying degrees at different times in our lives, from what I have seen.

Is there a conductor? A source energy underlying the universe? I believe so, i have had the mystical in my mystics adventures, but it is not possible to convey, nor can I or anyone lead you to this energy, it is a lone journey, and different for everyone.

I hope you don't close the door completely to the idea of this source, it is worth experiencing, this can be a heaven realm or a bit of a hell realm, usually some of both,but even if you do, you'll still know what your soul already knows eventually, and it's all good...
