They have multiple functions in the body, however the point is that you don't want to take zinc without copper, or it can cause problems in the body.

if you eat mostly meat you will tend to overload in zinc
if you eat mostly vegetables you tend to overload in copper

I 100% disagree. Copper accumulates. Zinc doesn't.
