No way 26 Republican Senators are going to vote to remove, so the exercise is moot. Paul is warning RINO Senators that they will lose their seats next election if they give an inch to the corrupt Dems and their sideshow impeachment scam.

Maybe that's Nancy's grand plan here. Get the RINO's to commit political suicide, flip the Senate then impeach AND remove Trump after he wins in 2020.

Well.. As far as evidence we need to look back to 2018 when 43 incumbent GOP congressmen abruptly resigned/retired before the November election. This was done to hand control of congress to the dems.

The case as presented in the house is weak and ridiculously stupid. I’m very interested if something else will come forth though from another witness.

If Republicans are smart and honest they better get a witness to divulge all the corruption that was being investigated in the Ukraine. If they don’t call Giuliani this whole thing is a sham.

The house does not vote on witnesses in the Senate. Dem leadership on both houses are pushing for witnesses to be called in the Senate. If McConnell allows for witnesses at all in the Senate trial (still TBD) it needs a simple majority of 51 Senators to approve/deny various witnesses. The "magic number" Nancy & Chuck refer to is 4 Republican Senators, as that is all it would take to achieve the 51 votes for/against any witness to come to the Senate. Many say that the delay by Nancy was because she had to find 4 RINO's who would vote with the Dems. If this is the case then Dems will control the witness list, just as they did in the House hearings, denying anyone who can help Trump from testifying.

The whole thing is a joke because a 2/3 majority is needed to REMOVE the POTUS from office and its never gonna happen. Dems only hope is to inflict as much political damage on Trump as possible prior to the election. Election meddling? Or just politics?

Any Republican Senator that votes for impeachment has automatically signed his dismissal papers, because their constituents want President Trump to be in office, and know that this impeachment bullshit is just another Dem coup attempt.

That's a very real possibility. I don't think we've seen the last play in their playbook yet. Hopefully the reporting that the Senate doesn't have the votes to acquit without calling witnesses isn't accurate. The best thing at this point is for the Senate to vote for acquittal and let the two chambers get back to the business they were elected to do.

The one saving grace is that Trump has counter played the Dems so far brilliantly and you can bet he's not going to go down without putting up one hell of a fight and he has the personal resources to make it a spectacular fight indeed.
