Weird drone dreams I had 30 years ago

Weird drone dream from 30+ years ago

All of the drone stuff happening has once again reminded me of a continuous dream I had when I was in my late teens. Keep in mind that this dream was from over 30 years ago and I had never heard of a drone or anything like it. the dream has haunted me my whole life because it felt real. Here is my dream:

I am running with a group of people down a road. The buildings around us have partially collapsed and been looted or burned out. The buildings were shops and stores that used to be open, but had been long abandoned. I turn around and look, and there are 3 round flat objects (think Roomba shaped) flying towards us. Some sort of laser shoots out of one and hits one of the people in the back of the neck and they collapse. I and the others start running faster and dash into one of the buildings and try to hide. I hide with someone else underneath what used to be a counter in a diner and we keep absolutely still and quiet. We hear a buzzing sound and one of the round things floats into the room. It flies around for a bit until someone else makes a noise and then starts to run. It shoots the runner in the back of the neck with the laser and the person collapses. I stay completely still, but can see just past the edge of the counter the person on the floor. We hear heavy boots and two soldier types come in and pick the person up and drag them away. The "soldiers" are dressed all in brown. Have typical combat gear, round helmets, dark brown boots. No camouflage or anything. just brown. The soldiers take the person away, and we hear them walking off and we hear the whirring sound of the round things disappearing in the distance. We wait a while and then finally come out of hiding. I reach up and feel the back of my neck and feel some sort of round metal ring flush against my skin. I realize that we all have them. The person I was with holds up a small hand size black box and says "good thing I had this".
Then my dream ended and I woke up.
I had several dreams later on where we were hiding from the "round flying things" and I learned many things. I learned that they could either stun or kill people. We had been on the run after escaping. The person hiding with me became my friend. The black box he had could scramble the frequency used to track us and we were semi safe as long as we stayed still. I feel like I was in the U.S. still, but it was a very different place from what I grew up.
These dreams I've had have been haunting me now. Just needed to share for what it's worth. I just find it odd that these happened over 30 years ago, when drones were unheard of, but now it could be a very real near future scenario.

Just want to add that I may not reply much to my post. I'm a caregiver full time, so... lol...just wanting to share and see if anyone else dreamed about these amd watch the discussion. Thanks :)
