Ancient Europeans did teach the Indians many things

The Solutrean hypothesis on the peopling of the Americas claims that the earliest human migration to the Americas took place from Europe, during the Last Glacial Maximum.

The Solutrean culture, 21,000 to 17,000 years ago migrated to North America by boat along the pack ice of the North Atlantic Ocean. They brought their methods of making stone tools with them and provided the basis for the later, 13,000 years ago Clovis technology that spread throughout North America. Supporters of the Solutrean hypothesis refer to recent archaeological finds such as those at Cactus Hill in Virginia, Meadowcroft Rockshelter in Pennsylvania, and Miles Point in Maryland as evidence of a transitional phase between Solutrean lithic technology and what later became Clovis technology.

Legends told of Lands to the West in Europe since these times

Face masks could be giving people Covid-19 immunity, researchers suggest

Mask wearing might also be reducing the severity of the virus and ensuring that a greater proportion of new infections are asymptomatic

This, we'll likely see a surge as people 'prepare' for the lock-down. The date is based on significant dates to certain Calender's. It's new years for some this coming Saturday.

I can see that happening, Dutchy.

The hardest thing I've had to do lately was tell my daughter we wouldn't be coming out to see them before school started.

Sometimes I get fatalistic. Usually when I'm over tired. Just like right now. I just read the thread about the boy that tried to save his gramma in the fires and they both died. His dog was on his lap. Sometimes I really don't like this world.

Speaking of tired, you're up late or early!? Have an ontbijt broodje (sp?) for me, ok? I might make one tomorrow, too. My spelling of Nederlands is gek, but I can make that! LOL

Still up, much to late (or early) for early (or late) breakfast. And your dutch is quite impressive given how little use it is for most Americans to learn any of it! I'll have one in the morning though.

And fatalistic is closer to realistic then most people get, just overdoing it a bit. We're not well adapted to the society we have formed for ourselves. But that may just be tired talk.

Danke je wel for saying such kind things about my Dutch! I was there for 5 years and never became fluent. Every one of my Dutch friends wanted to practice their English. I could read it better than speak. I was afraid of messing up! I learned most of it from the sub titles on tv or trying to translate the community channel on cable. When I was in the hospital, having my youngest, the nurses would show me equipment and ask what it was called in English! When I tried to get them to say sphagnomometer ( not sure I spelled that right either! Spellcheck is arguing with me), I gave up and told them it was ok to say blood pressure cuff! I have a lot of stories like that...5 years worth!

I was always amazed at the similarities of the 2 languages. Milk/melk, banana/bananan. coffee/kaffee. I never did get a handle on the sentence structure, though. It is different than English. I still set up a sentence in English with Dutch words. Thankfully, y'all are so polite and nice about us mangling your language. Unlike OTHER European countries I can name!

Anyway, I think I'll take one more stroll through the board and call it a night. I'm SO glad you're here. I was going to type good rest in Dutch, but it wouldn't come out! LOLOL

ICMR shocker: India missed 80 corona cases for every one detected

The Indian Council of Medical Research reckons, on the basis of its seroprevalence survey done in May-June, that 40 per cent of the Indian population is already exposed to the SARS-Cov 2 virus.

But the really scary part is this: for every confirmed case detected, there are 80-130 missed cases of coronavirus infection.
...
In contrast, the US is estimated to have 10 missed cases for every one confirmed case.

Very interesting.

I recently read a book on the pre-Spanish history of Mexico with the warring tribes, human sacrifices, etc.

The Mexica/Aztecs had a complex culture but very limited technology.

I would not be surprised if a few voyages crossed the Atlantic and back long before Columbus, but I wonder at the ABSENCE of some things:

1. Could the visitors not teach the natives about a simple concept, the wheel? Such a simple innovation would have revolutionized society.

2. No Old World animals or plants. A single pair of pigs released in the New World would turn into the millions we have now. No goats? Sheep? Some of those animals, especially pigs were taken on voyages to serve as food.

How useful would it have been to the natives of North America to have a bag of seeds from the Old World? Likewise, no explorer ever thought of bringing corn, beans, squash, or pepper seeds back to Europe?

3. No Old World diseases. A single man in Cortez expedition had small pox which rapidly spread through all of Mexico greatly weakening the native resistance to conquest.

My conclusion is that few voyages took place before Columbus.

Today, the West Virginia petroglyphs provide irrefutable evidence of religious messages, left on these shores between 500 and 800 AD, by Irish Christian missionaries. And each year, at yule tide, the rising sun places a fresh stamp of authenticity on America’s first Christmas Cards.

Extremely interesting!

If only they had taught the natives about the wheel, smelting iron, or a few other useful things. A bag of seeds would have been incredible.

Fascinating. Never saw that before.

I think the strongest evidence for ancient voyages was when they detected tobacco and COCAINE in the center of an Egyptian mummy.

Traveling from Egypt across the Atlantic and back must have been incredibly hazardous. But, Pharoah had to have the best drugs!

I have been a member of the Life Extension Foundation for over 35 years.

I get regular updates on advances in the field.

The CRISPR tools may someday allow us to have the genes of super-centenarians. Or, we may be able to use even more simple nutrients.

Check out Dr. David Sinclair of Harvard on Joe Rogan's channel on utube. There is steady progress against aging.

One of my favorite writers is Ray Kurzweil who predicts that the advancements in computing, genetic engineering, AI, and other fields will come together to create a Singularity where scientific progress begins a rapid exponential phase.

I think Ray is an optimist. Such tech will be used for evil as well as good.

However, he is probably right about the rapid progress.

It is why I am ultimately an optimist about the Wuhan Virus. With the tools we have, the best minds in the world, and unlimited funding, we will prevail.

Oh, and ref vampires. The research showing that putting young blood in old lab rats rejuvenated them is over 30 years old. I would be astounded if the very wealthy and powerful did NOT use such tech.

Healthy young people may make a good living selling blood products into that market!

I think the concern over 400K deaths amusing.

Well over 4 million I believe DED in 'Merka already.

From a combination of

1) Radiation, Never Mentioned again by MSM, While right now RAVAGING the Planet.
As Websites have also been scrubbed or Completely Eliminated.....
That USED to give Good, Accurate Numbers
They will Never Again, this began just 2-3 years AFTER
FUKUshima.....
ADD to this the Chemtrails containing Barium, Tritium, Fluorides,
and
whatever the Hell else they wish to poison us with.
I'll call this portion "Nano Particle Induced DEATH"

2) "Normal" flu and Pneumonia.
Marching along as always....
This winter I expect to account for 3-5 X what would seem
'Normal'

3) Flu 'shots' already being pushed will Cause and TAKE
their OWN Share of Humanity this winter,
this portion of DED will be MUCH greater than in ANY recent year.
>> >Taking Many who are Already "Weakened" by this Virus <<<
The Normal Shedding of Live goddamm virus
that MSM and Pro Pharmacology {> Doctors and Pharmacists <}

Will NEVER Admit or Address

WILL BE the CAUSE of MUCH Weeping and Woe to Survivors

This winter will be marked by Extreme Numbers.

Totals, just this winter, Well Above 10 Million from a COMBINATION of the above, in JUST 'Merka !!??!!

"But YOU Will Never Know the Truth of the Matter"

Jazz, have you watched Netflix's "The Social Dilemma" yet? Worth a watch! It states that social media with the help of AI has already turned us into a dystopian and divided country on the verge of civil war.

To me, the only solution is to get rid of the source of the problem which is money. But to do that we would need free energy and the release of suppressed technologies, etc. ....

I'm watching the state I live in, Oregon, burn and everything going to shit. Don't know if there is hope.
 Quoting: Thisisit

"Money" is a means of exchange.

How, in a society with any degree of complexity or specialization, does that society function without some means of exchange recognized by members of that society?
 Quoting: Larry D. Croc

Direct exchange of goods/services, aka bartering. I will fix your grocery store computers for a week's worth of groceries. I will program your VCR if you fix the leaky gasket on my lawn mower.
 Quoting: Riff-Raff

I agree with you in theory, Riff. In reality? Every "barter network" I've ever seen has died on the vine.

And for those who say "silver! gold! ammo! beans!" all that's happening is a different method of exchange, i.e. "money" is being used.
 Quoting: Larry D. Croc

Yes, in theory. In reality, since the move away from the gold standard, the value of cash money is abstract, not tangible. Our entire economy is built on the government telling us that a piece of green paper with a $1 printed on on it is worth X. In a SHTF scenario where the government is no longer functional, the man with $10,000 stashed in his mattress now has a net worth of zero, but the man with alcohol and cigarettes just became the richest man in the neighborhood.

When (not if) S truly HTF, money will continue to be of value for a matter of hours, *maybe* a couple of days, simply because of the psychology of Americans. After that, though, it will become worthless, and people who have water, food, fuel, cigarettes, alcohol, etc. available will be able to trade them for other goods or services. A bartering society will be forced on Americans whether they like it or not.

But not before we go through the rape, pillage, and plunder phase first. That could last a few months to a year before things stabilize and more standard forms of trade become the norm. A new government might try to go back to a cash society after a few years, but what would that cash be based on? You can't eat gold, silver, or oil.

The global economy is a house of cards built on a sandy hill right over a fault line. And the more money they print, the higher and more unstable the house gets. Covid is the earthquake that's going to shatter it.

Jazz. One thing to add about driving. Close the air vent so it does not pull outside air into the cabin. Nothing like a Covid smoker in front of you and with the vent open it will pull that air in.

Many doom, much chat, some infuriating shit talking, mild to severe peril, nobody truly knows what will happen.

Ooh, and gardening.
