We're on the same page, TH. I've been trying to get my daughter to just wait and see what happens this first round. She doesn't have to get it for work, as far as I know. Being home and retired, I don't have to get it yet, either.

My concern for myself is, how will it affect my kidneys and other chronic stuff I have. The kidney shutdown several years ago was a huge eye opener! Everything I take in, I judge by them. I have to research every new thing I want/need to put in my body. I almost died then, I don't want a repeat performance!

Some people have said the vax is the mark of the beast. I don't believe that for a bunch of reasons. I DO think they way the governments are going about getting it out is major conditioning for the mark, though. It may be the vax won't hurt you. I'm just watching....like I always do.

I've seen soooo many different views on this from a variety of scientists which, coupled with countless articles featuring such reassuring words as "could", "may", "might", etc., makes me and Mrs. Croc NOT interested in being first in line.

Not to be crass, I never buy the first model year of a new vehicle; preferring to let them work the bugs out and offer a much improved version in year two.

I always value your opinion! I'll wait until they get the 2nd shot for sure. I've read things until my eyes feel like they're going to bleed. If we weren't continuously exposed I wouldn't feel so pressured to take it for a year. On one hand I don't think they'd give it to the people who will be taking care of everyone if it was going to kill us all, but on the other hand I understand how awful TPTB are.

I enjoy reading history. Often it's the third, fourth, or fifth book down the line that starts to add accuracy about what really happened.

Time after time after time for the better part of the last 100 years we can see how blatantly our governments have willingly lied to us, the folks supposedly they "serve". In each and every case they've rationalized those falsehoods and it's always "it was for their own good".

I'm reminded of the Al Pacino line from "A Few Good Men" where he shouts, "you CAN'T HANDLE the truth."

Yeah, actually I can, I'm all growed up and learned a long, long time ago that if you tell the truth you don't need a good memory. I wish they'd try it sometime.

Given that? My rushing to take the vaccine could best be characterized as me being Charlie Brown and the "we're from the government and we're here to help you" folks playing the part of Lucy holding the football...

We have folks in our government who think very dispassionately in terms of "acceptable losses", "collateral damage", etc.

And who can forget the kind folks at Ford who did a quiet calculation about the cost of fixing the Pinto gas tank versus the cost of paying lawsuit settlements for people who were incinerated in accidents involving those cars once the design flaws were recognized.

Some might see me as cynical, I see me as a student of history and less gullible the older I get.

I appreciate the sentiment. Alazopram kind of helps. Sorta. It's usually just easier saying I don't have children. None of my coworkers know, and only a few close friends, beyond family of course. But with TB, LJS, Jackal, and so many others on here dealing with this on a personal level now, during the holidays, it just kind of got to me and I posted off the cuff. I normally don't talk about it; sorry.

I’ve had my spunk on ice in the cryobank in Munich for a few years and now it seems like it was a wise decision. I may be the Omega man with one of the few pre Covid semen samples on earth.

My sample was 30x more potent with active sperm than normal too!

It's a toss up.

If you're not having kids, at least you don't have to worry about birth defects.

My biggest concern, is not that the vaccine has major side effects (of course it does), but that it's also ineffective (all the pharma research focuses on the effectiveness of it at least temporarily preventing full blown COVID (or symptomatic as they call it), while downplaying the fact that people are still catching the virus after vaccination (or asymptomatic with a positive test, as they call it).

Edit: There's also the fact that the people in many of these studies simply would not have had time to develop full blown COVID when the data was collected and would still be in the initial asymptomatic stages.
