I contracted something in Mexico around XMas and it was HIGHLY contagious. I gave it to almost everyone I knew at home and work. Most had flu shots and/or very good immune systems. Being a smoking asthmatic, most viruses that I contract hit my lungs the worst, this one not so much, but others complained of it in their lungs and kidneys. This has been here for a while i bet. Here in Canada they shame smokers to the point of public stoning, I'm sure there's some sort of agenda here. Remember that Dr. Strangelove movie, that fellow lived on gum and smokes. Part of the reason I quit smoking and switched to vaping was, every time I got a cold, it would turn in to bronchitis and last a month. I haven't had a cold even last more than 72 hours since I switched, but a novel virus like this one could have different characteristics that make it behave more like what you brought back from Mexico. We've heard, for years, that smokers did better with Spanish Flu, so who knows. Here's the thread I created to discuss this. I think it definitely deserves more than a side conversation. I immediately lashed onto American Spirt at that point. I read up on it, and Spirits were the only company using linseed oil as their fire line, rather than the chemical carpet glues used by the major brands.
