It's an unmitigated disaster.

A total top-down corruption (from the Ministry of Health down to individual doctors) rules the day.

Big Pharma has got Serbian health system by the balls, turning the whole system into nothing more than peddling pills to the elderly (U.S. term is pill mill). Every single patient above 65 is given dozens of (worse than useless, actually extremely dangerous) prescriptions.

I've known the facts about our healthcare system since 2012, when my father died under the hospital care, from an undetermined viral disease... after more than a month of going from one doctor to another (including the center for tropical diseases, in Belgrade, where I live), with a fever of up to 40C at times, waiting for hours in line (6-8 hours, in fact) to be received.

Things have only gotten much, much worse since then, with active governmental decree prohibiting employment of medical staff in state hospitals (in order to push patients into the "private sector", which is owned by the political criminals in the ruling party, SNS, and their criminal buddies on the street).

Given all these facts, I know for a fact that healthcare system in Serbia is going to collapse, completely, under any duress... because the medical staff will simply stop coming to work.

Half of them already work part-time in private (mockery of) "clinics", and they'll certainly value their lives over their extremely poorly paid government jobs.

It's all going to turn into a complete Hell on Earth at some point.

I was thinking about that, pretty sure it's a mixup because they declared one of the crew from the Diamond Princess is now infected, from Romania. Qtined in Japan though, probably lost in translation.

I feel a tad crazy but at the same time, I feel better knowing I have some decent preps done/in motion.

Last week was half term in the UK so many people were probably there with their kids. It inches closer every day... make that every hour or even every minute!

Red disease sounds too much like Red Flu/Red Rust from The Last Ship if you've ever seen that. I mean it's kind of fitting seeing the source of where Covid-19 came from if you think about it. Red Disease, Black Death, why not.

Haven't you heard Merkel while she was welcoming all those refugees full of diplomas ?

I watched the video of the British couple and he claims they never administered any drugs and allowed their own bodies to fight the disease.

But he said something extremely odd that threw me off, he said he didn't take antibiotics. Didn't grasp why he mentioned that when he had a virus. Seems rather strange. He also said he had 3 diseases at once but only mentioned the coronavirus.

Says his pneumonia is almost clear and his wife's is gone.

But he did mention one thing that meant more than anything, he was at the best hospital for that type illness he had. He was in a stress free environment and he had around the clock blood work done with IV.

Now, I can attest that being under those circumstances helps the body fight. I have a chronic illness that has landed me in the hospital many times and when I am there with a healthy IV receiving nutrition while fasting I always heal up better than when I have a mild flare up of my UC and fight it at home. My bowels get better and my body feels healed.

To put it simply, one need a this environment to have a chance. But it is good to see a real survivor share his story. I needed to see that. Gives me assurance this thing may not be as bad as we think it is.
