I am not sure they said it was from eating. It was more likely to have jumped from a bat to a pangolin or as in SARS 1 a civet. Then jumped to a human. I do not think they can pinpoint the exact start.

That said.. I would be re heating any food I got from someone else.

Jason Hargrove was behind the wheel of a bus in Detroit when he said a passenger began to cough. The middle-aged woman let loose four or five times without covering her mouth, he said, and watching her do this — at the same time Michigan was under a state of emergency for the coronavirus — got him so upset, he felt compelled to vent his frustrations in a video afterward.

"I'm mad right about now because that s*** was uncalled for. I'm trying to be the professional that they want me to be, and I kept my mouth closed," he said, voice breaking with emotion. "I kept my mouth closed, but it's at some point in time we've got to draw the line and say enough is enough."

Now, nearly two weeks after he recorded the video, which viewers shared widely on Facebook Live, Hargrove himself has died of COVID-19. The Amalgamated Transit Union confirmed his death in a tweet posted Thursday.

The bus driver's death "should touch everybody in the city of Detroit, should touch everybody in the country," the city's mayor, Mike Duggan, said at news conference Thursday, noting that Hargrove "knew the risks, was vocal about the risks, he went to work anyway."

Duggan urged people to watch the video.

2nd Riverside County sheriff’s deputy dies of COVID-19 within 24 hours

Another Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputy died of complications from COVID-19 as the number of infected employees rose to 26, authorities said Friday.

Deputy David Werksman, a 22-year veteran of the department, is the second deputy at the agency to succumb to the respiratory illness after 54-year-old Deputy Terrell Young, the Sheriff's Department announced. They both died Thursday.

"It is hard to imagine that just 24 hours ago, our Department was in pain due to the COVID-19 death of Deputy Terrell Young. Our members are heartbroken and hurting," the Riverside Sheriffs' Association's president Bill Young said in a statement.

It is believed Werksman contracted the virus several weeks ago while attending or making arrangements for his mother's funeral, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said at a news conference Friday.

The deputy was admitted to a hospital with respiratory failure about a week ago, two weeks after he started experiencing flu-like symptoms. He had previously seen a doctor who sent him home with antibiotics, according to the sheriff.

"It hit him pretty early... and he had a hard time with it. He was fighting severe respiratory problems for almost two weeks before he was eventually hospitalized," Bianco said.

I wasn't aware of that particular group ever being considered intellectually superior. In fact, from my experience with my ex-wife, who was of that heritage, I would say that description certainly didn't apply to her. Of course, I don't know if she accurately represented her people or not, so it would be unfair of me to judge an entire culture based on my bad experience with a single person.

Publix confirms 3 COVID-19 cases among Jacksonville employees

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – At least three Publix employees who work at Jacksonville stores have tested positive for COVID-19, a spokesperson for the Florida-based grocery chain has confirmed.

The company said employees at Publix Supermarkets on 103rd street, Reedy Branch Commons on Baymeadows Road and at the Harbor Place Plaza on Atlantic Boulevard have employees out sick with the virus.

It’s unclear what roles the employees hold within their locations, and the company’s statement did not specify the source of their infections. The statement added that these cases likely won’t be the last to impact Publix:

“Unfortunately, as public health officials have indicated, we expect to see an increase in cases as the virus spreads in our communities," according to the corporate statement.
