The situation now in the U.K. is that the Health Service is now nearing saturation point.

By that I mean nationally ‘on the whole’.

It’s a multifaceted clusterfuck & therefore when the pinch has begun the situ is then best described & digested as ‘in general’ rather than peaks, dips & numbers.

It is from this point we now see a drastic decline in order. The media will do their utmost to rally the nation & manufacture some hope & confidence, but...........

On the front line we are now of course seeing the desperation echoing that of Italy, Spain etc............

The workers are increasingly becoming ill, not just from Covid-19 but from the brutal psychological torment that comes with the heartbreaking scenes but more damaging the ‘decisions’ they are having to face.

I have to admit I shed a tear or two this morning listening to an icu nurse recounting the situ on the ground, so graphic was the detail, not a ‘graphic’ I could ‘see’, but instead a ‘graphic’ I could ‘feel’.

I will try to recount it as I heard it.

It’s overwhelming and we’re being told the worst is yet to come, what will we do, tell me, what are we meant to do how can we possibly cope with this, I cried so hard this morning when my alarm went off after just a couple of hours sleep, I silenced my alarm & just cried my eyes out at the thought of having to back to it again.

It’s ‘fear’ now, it’s not normally fear but it is, for the first time I’m really scared to be a nurse, we’re told to be brave & just think of our training but I’m scared. It’s not a normal fear, I was having a cup of tea & the cup was empty and I needed to put the cup down and go in to work, I couldn’t put it down because I had to make a decision on where to place it on the table. I was frozen and I couldn’t put my cup down.

This disease is now suffocating us as much as them.

This will haunt us forever, forever.”


It took this Lady quite a while to tell this story, she would break down, then compose herself & continue, then you could hear the panic starting again until the next breakdown..........the cycle continued.
