Usually you would use a bulldozer for something like that, a single dozer could do the work of 10 of those tiny buckets in half the time... And you would be using front end loaders to move any excess dirt, I don't even see any there. I think they are trying to make their response look more impressive than it is. Unless they are making work for those who need work?  Building a multi-level structure in 6 days. Think about it--water/sewer lines and electrical requirements. No way in hell this can be completed in 6 days. Their not making a new hospital per say. It's more an isolation for those who may be infected. Look at the bars on them. Yes.. bit extreme.. but if your forced to be isolated and what better way then to lower the manpower then to add bars. Its not going to be a multi floor building.  |

I used to move big dirt. They def have a funny way of doing it down there. I think they might have been using them to load trucks. I did see at least one dozer on site, maybe two. I can't remember now. Been in construction much of my life, though not a dirt mover. Those images with the trackhoes have to be propaganda. It's like they're just playing in the dirt. Where's the trenches for the footings? Are they maybe just digging down for a basement level? A basement level implies a complicated concrete substructure. That's a lot of forming up and pouring, and then it has to dry before you can build on it. Somebody mentioned them moving trailers in. This makes more sense. I'm at a loss as to why they can't convert a building into an expedient field hospital. |

P13315 Last night I was thinking about this whole mess, and I came to realize a very scary scenario... Quoting: CitizenOfFreedom China has all of these cities on lockdown, a total of 60 million people. The grocery stores are pretty much empty. People are eventually going to run out of food, medications, etc. Imagine that many people going absolutely crazy, panicking in the streets? And while they're panicking in the streets, you're bound to have the infected among them. Which means more will become actually infected, which will just further continue the cycle. And what if the CDC tells China that they need to open up the cities again due to humanitarian issues? Well, that's going to make things even worse. None of this looks remotely good going forward. Yeah, pretty much anyone worldwide with an apartment, condo, or house, will have 5-10 days worth of food on hand in their kitchens, pantry, etc. Even when they are like most people, and they don't think or care at all about preparing for future disasters.
