The government is not a 90 year old grandma trying to pack for her first vacation in the Canary Islands.

They have the military.
They have FEMA.
They have oil reserves.
They have food reserves.
They have medical supply reserves.
They have the ability to implement martial law.
They have a functioning infrastructure.
