Why you shouldn't be afraid - my opinion

The numbers in China are falling down.

Regardless if you believe the official numbers or not, the number of cases is lower and lower, that means even if they only diagnose 1/10 it is still falling down.

That means the quarantine is working.

This proves the virus can be stopped.

With extreme measures, at the expense of the economy, but it CAN be stopped.

Now, what happens, depends on us and our governments.

If we choose to stop it, we can do it, it is OUR CHOICE.

The question is can we bear some 3-6 months inconvenience of staying at home under quarantine, locked borders and roads?

Right now probably not, but if the death toll becomes too much, then probably yes, we will be able to endure it.

The 3rd world countries will just have to go with the flow and let the virus roll through them, but us in the developed countries, we have the means to stop it, as proven by China.

So what happens depends on us and our actions.

It is just our choice what we do, I mean our givernments, but if people strongly demand quarantine and closed borders, they won't be able to refuse.

We know we CAN stop it, the question is WILL WE CHOOSE TO STOP IT?

I wouldn't be surprised if there are more cases coming to Australia from countries other than China. One thing I have noticed is that flu numbers here are above average and that's not good if this virus gathers pace.

I'm in Toowoomba, and I've noticed way more people starting to get sick. I'd absolutely hate to be in the bigger cities right now.
