I feel for you, being in NYC....relating to weird foods, you ever go to Rice to Riches? Only in New York, kids, only in New York....a rice pudding shop where you could read cheesy signs and eat flavored rice puddings. It was so good! I miss some things like that...it was on a side street near Little Italy and Chinatown...we used to walk for blocks and blocks, especially during the San Genaro festival and stumbled upon it...it became a thing for us to go get rice pudding when we would visit family up there....those were days...hang on, y’all...I’m munching my double Hope burger with horseradish, extra pickles and American cheese...can’t give up yet...

I was shocked to see how expensive Velveeta was. I remember buying the large "brick" maybe 5 years ago and it was around $3. It's over $10 now. WTF?

I have this one really fantastic live recording of my favorite band, and there is this really annoying girl in the audience, who talks throughout the concert.

At one point, it sounds almost exactly like she is exclaiming:

“Vel- veeta!”

Now every time I hear, read or think the word, Velveeta, it just reminds me of that almost-perfect live recording.

Brtish Chancellor still talking about furloughing till October which means we aren't coming out of lockdown untill then because if we were open there would be no need for furloughing.

The governments in England, Wales and Scotland have handled this really badly. Given that London is probably the biggest international travel hub on Earth it shouldn't have taken a genius to realise that the virus would be spreading in the community from late February onwards.

Britain is an island and we could have eradicated this virus just like Australia, NZ and Iceland will eventually do. I forsee great political upheaval in the UK in the medium term.
