Findings from investigation and analysis of re-positive cases (S. Korea)

Bit of a data dump, but contact tracing found no infections that could be directly linked to someone who had re-tested positive after clinical discharge.

"For the 285 re-positive cases investigated, 790 contacts were found in total. Minimum 14-day monitoring found 27 of the contacts to be positive, 24 of which were cases that were previously confirmed." 3 new cases were found with other likely exposures.

"Viral cell culture testing of 108 re-positive cases all had negative results." Indicating that viral traces found were not viable.

Strong indication that it's shedding of non-viable viral material causing the re-positive testing.
