I have generators with enough fuel to keep my freezers cold for months, if necessary. What people need to understand is the generators don't need to run 24/7. You fire them up for a few hours to get everything done you need done, then you shut them back down and save the fuel. My biggest concern is the noise they make. I'd like to be able to run them quietly so I'm not advertising their presence to everyone within half a mile.

Bit of a data dump, but contact tracing found no infections that could be directly linked to someone who had re-tested positive after clinical discharge.

"For the 285 re-positive cases investigated, 790 contacts were found in total. Minimum 14-day monitoring found 27 of the contacts to be positive, 24 of which were cases that were previously confirmed." 3 new cases were found with other likely exposures.

"Viral cell culture testing of 108 re-positive cases all had negative results." Indicating that viral traces found were not viable.

Strong indication that it's shedding of non-viable viral material causing the re-positive testing.

I don't think POTUS has the authority to do that unilaterally. Someone in a state would have to file suit for violation of First Amendment rights and ave it go through the court system. The courts can override the governor. The President cannot.

Also shows that the US really needs to step it's testing.

Best Case
.4% of symptomatic are fatal, 35% asymptomatic -
100k(deaths)*250(250x more symptomatic cases)*1.35(35% more asymptomatic cases) = 33.75m cases in the US.

So either the assumptions in the model are wrong or there is not enough testing in the US by a factor of 10-30x.

A 24.9% weekly increase would result in a decline of active cases long term, so declining risk of getting infected overall. Even though we'd rather see 0% it's a lot better then the 30% daily increase that we've seen without mitigation.

Right now most places in the world are on the slow road to getting rid of this thing, so there is a silver lining to it all.
