You'd be surprised how many the local thrift store has sitting there.

I wouldn’t but years ago I bought some Tattler lids which are reusable. I have never tried them. Have you checked ULINE for jars? Also my local Ace Hardware has carried them in the past, maybe a possibility for you I'm not sure what ULINE is. I'm a mostly newbie canner, lol. Yesterday was only the second time I've used a pressure canner, and I made a batch of soup specifically to can. Since I couldn't find quart jars last weekend, I had to do a mix of quarts and half pints, lol. [ link to www.uline.com (secure)] They are a business to business store. Worth it! I love them but a little to tight in my budget for bulk.
