We only had one sheep, a gift from a friend of The Queen. Cute little ewe.
Was letting them graze in the front yard.
While I was distracted a couple of my "killer furballs" managed to squeeze thru the gate from the back yard and kill her.
I had to cancel all plans for the day and prep the sheep. About to put the pieces in the deep freeze now.
Have decided to give away the primary perp, a Husky/Pitbull mix. She's OK, but not with small animals.
Of course, The Queen says its all my fault...which was true.
If I had secured the gate better, we would still have a sheep.
BTW, knowing the basics of skinning, gutting, and prepping meat is a good survival skill. I have years of experience from hunting.
It is not rocket science. Good info on utube.
Ref the knife, that Havalon I recommended before is as sharp as a surgeon's scalpel. Just one slip and OUCH, the same finger that I split with a machete a couple of years ago.
