Not much different here in the UK...  Yes, the polar vortexes and heat waves usually coincide for the 2 regions. We've been seeing this now since about 2000 and an escalation in intensity around 2010-11. Another escalation is coming...we may be in it now. It only gets worse from here folks. True, unfortunately... Only dreaming of the summer month/s...  I live in the Sonoran Desert..prefer like the cooler temps lol. Trees are blooming earlier. What once used to be late Feb/March is now mid/late January.
