When you look at the weave, the warp, and the weft of your life and you are comfortable with it. Death is not to be feared. You seem reconciled and will adopt a wry grin. All that matters at this point is making your loved ones comfortable with your passing. Imagine being, without you. That is all that matters if you are going to pass. They will miss you as will we all here, but this is a forum. I mean closer to you.

Your reconciliation may not fit for everyone around you celebrating your life. You have the wisdom to aid them. Help them if you are committed. They will need your help to make sense of death. Help them realize with their real-eyes that you were born to die. As will all of them. Strength in death is a rare gift that you can pass on. Wry grins my friend, wry grins.

Hello again my GLP friends

Hospice can keep a person busy! Lots of hospice visits this week, along with my beautiful granddaughter 2 days this week. My nurse will be here later this morning, as all as the hospice Social Worker and my massage therapist! I

Weirdly, I feel better now than when I began Hospice. My pain and anxiety are well under control and I am (finally) better enough sleep. I am told this is not unusual as there are no more doctor visits, no more hospitals. So no wearing ones well out going all over town for care. The card comes to me. I do feel better. I thank my amazing Hospice team for making sure my needs that only they can help with are provided for.

My family and friends are awesome as well. Food, clean sheets, clean clothing, loving tender care. My occasional moodiness (probably due in part to adjusting to new medication) excused/ignored. They just tell me of course I will be moody at times, I am dealing with so many changes. I really am a lucky flower rose

Last, but never ever least are all of my friends here at GLP. All of you, my friends have provided me with such amazing loving support! Prayers, words, encouragement, music, kindness, word of wisdom, laughter....and so much more! Thank you hugs

I will check in tomorrow (at least I plan to) and hopefully I will write more here as well. I am finishing up giving away, donating or throwing away belongings. Next I will start working on a book with question about me to answer. Something so my grandchildren will know me better, even the two who are unborn and due in June.

Please remember your kindness and emotional and spiritual support mean the world to me. Thank you. You my frends, make this journey is I take alone, but never ever lonely. hugs

~ monkeyflower

Feeling peaceful again, my balance is back. (I woke up today in an odd mood, not myself, but I am back to my squirrelly self)

Hi OP and everyone. If you have Jesus as your savior, here is what you have to look forward to. These links are a compilation of documented peoples near death experiences, and what they say heaven looked like... It is so exciting that so many people from all types of ages, races, etc they all said such similar things about their experiences in heave! I find it so exciting and encouraging ! These people have no reason to lie. Many if you research their names you can find their individual near death testimonies.
OP- stay in regular communication with Jesus and have faith that your life is not ending, you will just be moving onto a new adventure more brilliant than can be imagined! Thank God we have the gift of learning about these other peoples experiences! This is a gift!

Hi Monkeyflower

I am so sorry to hear you are going through this.

To be honest, I have considered your situation, asking myself, would I rather be in your shoes than mine.......I think you are in a MUCH better position than me.

Consider having no one. If I were to get sick, No one would care. (except God) I would easily give you my perfect health in exchange for the love you are showered with. I am NOT kidding!

Everyone goes through their own level of troubles and sometime life looks really dark. Everyone has their own way of dealing with that. But is never a bad thing to reach out if you feel alone or abandoned. That's what we are here for as well. We are not here to judge, but to lend an ear or an arm, share a word, a thoughts or a song. hugs

Our GLP Flower is a very courageous girl and her thread brings out the best in people. The love and encouragement people show here is truly heart warming. The most rewarding we can do for Monkeyflower, is take an example of her courage and use it as motivation to keep believing in ourselves, in the knowledge that there is light, even in darkest times. Not always easy to see, but it is there.

Some can do it on their own, others may need a helping hand. Nothing wrong with that. You are not alone. hf

Hello again my beautiful GLP family hugs

Firstly, you guys blow me away and I feel so special and cared about! I've received flowers and phone calls, as well as prayers and music, kind thoughts, advice, emotional and spiritual support and so much more. I am touched to my core by everyone's heartfelt kindness sent my way. Thank you. I can only say thank you, because I am so overwhelmed by wonder and wonderfulness! Thank you!

Today I woke feeling more unwell than my usual level of unwell. I have picked up some respiratory bug. My hospice staff wasted no time getting things rolling to help me feeling better soon. I am drinking lots of water, with plenty of vitamin C and also doing other appropriate things to rid myself of this 'thing' ASAP!

Tomorrow I get a haircut, well actually a trim. It has been so long since I have had my hair trimmed I am excited!

Tonight my husband spent 20 minutes looking for kitty for me. We just could not find her. Until we did. She was under the folded blankets and quilt at the foot of my hospital bed.. Literally under 10 inches of folded blankets. For our trouble we received a dirty look when we found her. (kitty<- bad)

Tomorrow my amazing granddaughter will be here to do what needs to be done. She is truly wise beyond her years and incredibly strong. I am so proud of her! I accidentally found she and I matching braclets. I had to buy them. I gave her one today and we put our bracelets on at the same time. They are a thin cuff style brackets and inside they are engraved with the words "Keep Fucking Going". Upon reading her bracelet she hugged me and said, we will - Keep fucking Going- til the end of this journey the we will keep fucking Going on the journey that comes after. She is so incredible, so strong, so loving. And we love each other so much. Yes, I am very blessed and very lucky. And so damn proud! What an amazing woman she is.

Hugs and more hugs for all of you, my amazing GLP Family! And again, thank you!

Hello anonymous friend.

I am just wondering what makes you think I haven't accepted Jesus. I choose to keep the details of my spiritual life to myself. Please know I will be fine when this life ends. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

I didn't find any music today, my son is in Vietnam and it seems like everyone is fleeing because of a cold virus. So he is coming home soon, like the next 3-4 days. I've been binge listening to this anyhow. I won't embed it but it sounds full of power. You are wrapped in and Loved OP.

A few years back (6 or so), I left the love of my life because she was 28 and I was 45. I went for lunch with her and her 1 year old. For some reason hanging out with a baby (her mother and I are now just best friends) made me think about hospice and the cycle of life. That think lead me to this. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)]

Anyhow...fall more and more in Love with the one you are with. The build up to a birth when you and your woman are so so looking forward to be parents (again) that your Love gets more intricate and complex. I'd guess (I've done a bit of private hospice myself) that the complexity of death with Love must be something akin. It builds more and more before it happens.

What's your take on that monkeyflower?

YOU ARE INFINITE! How can I prove this? Just as another poster on here said that numbers prove this alone. 0 is not the end, but the beginning.

Hello again GLP friends hugs

A very short update. I am fighting off this respiratory thing. I don't feel great yet, but I also don't feel worse.
I have slept so much today and tonight... Thanks for the continuing thoughts, prayers, kind words wonderful music and great friendships! I appreciate all of you. hugs

I'm sorry to hear about your upper respiratory infection, glad that you are holding your own and hoping you make a quick turn for the better. Your family sounds awesome. The relationship you have with your granddaughter sounds like the one I had with my great-grandmother- I'm so happy for both of you that you share something so special. Those matching bracelets you talk about in an earlier post- :) :) :)
