UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs A woman answered and I asked for him. She was a nurse and said he was in hospice. I had no idea. When she asked him if he wished to speak with me, we did. We talked of our love, of our time together. We cried, we laughed and he passed soon after. But we had a reconnection. After a decade of being apart. On his last days I reached out and I know, when it’s my time, I will see him in heaven. Love is eternal. |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs Prayers for you and your family. We had hospice for my parents. I now always consider we had a blessing of time to spend together. We had music, we read books aloud, laughed, cried and had heartfelt conversations. Be selfish with your time. Ask for visitors when you are ready and send them home when you need to rest. May you be surrounded by love and light. "A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear." Marcus Tullius Cicero |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs One thanksgiving day decades ago I called a man i had loved and he had dumped me for another woman. On that day I thought of him and remembered our love so I called him, out of the blue. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77524817 A woman answered and I asked for him. God was speaking to you and that call was for a reason. |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs Was with two sisters in recent years in hospice. They passed so aware and beautifully surrounded by those they loved. It was so reassuring to them as well as those they were leaving but when the moment came it was kind, respectful and filled the room with love. Their presence remained comforting to the grief stricken. Each sister touched hearts reassuring their journey had begun but they had not yet left us. When they did move on we all felt the relief of release from this world. Hospice was a blessing. I pray your journey is gentle and those in attendance are respectful and peaceful, and yes those who are not, are all touched by your beautiful spirit. It is a moment never forgotten. The experience left us all with the sweetness of love in life and the comfort of what is to come to us all. Prayers that you and all those you have touched find comfort in this time. |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs I Am Standing Upon The Seashore Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46817976 I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then, someone at my side says; "There, she is gone!" "Gone where?" Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There, she is gone!" There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout; "Here she comes!" And that is dying. Beautiful poem by Henry Van Dyke, sometimes attributed to Victor Hugo. That’s really nice So beautiful! Galaxee “Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.” Booker T Washington |
