UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs I said a prayer for you dear. I also wanted to recommend for you to watch these videos, and I hope they are some help. I do not think it is too late for you, especially if you eat a more raw-food plant based diet. UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs Hello again friends I enjoyed a wonderful day today. Hospice has improved my quality of life in so many ways...it has been about 2 weeks now, living with hospice care. Hospice is a blessing for myself and my loved ones. I now have a hospice schedule. I know which team member and when they will be at my home. Tomorrow my eldest granddaughter will be here and we will sort, label and give away more of my stuff. This will be her third visit helping me with saying good bye to things and sharing memories with my beautiful, strong, loving, gentle woman. She has most of my jewelry now, along with a List of which granddaughter get which pieces and which life milestones she will give them to her girl cousins. I have given my eldest grandson my father's binoculars as well as one of my father's Purple Hearts. My father's other Purple Heart lives under my pillow. These Purple Hearts will continue to help my amazing grandson and I stay brave. I also told my grandson about the night he was born, how I was the first to hold him after his mother on the night he was born. I gave him a song that one of you, my friends, posted to this thread. I think the song will give him comfort.Thank you! I need to go read some doom stuff now. Please know I can feel the loving support from all over the world. I might write more later tonight. Since beginning my life with hospice the quality of life has improved in so many ways. With the incredible support I find at GLP and hospice I can't imagine feeling better than I do now, in this life, in this moment. My granddaughter is bringing breakfast! Sausage gravy and bisquits. Bear was gentle and good and would pretty much allow me to do all kinds of silliness. The granddaughter who be here in a few hours called him "Uncle Bear". She often dressed him in baby bonnets, covered him with blankets, slept curled up next to him. Bear was dressed up for holidays to visit a nursing home. UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs I'm back I have had a couple of busy day and I have not been feeling well. It seems there is always paperwork these days. That and endless phone calls. My granddaughter and great granddaughter will be here around 8am to sort through material things. So much to go through. 61 yrs old and a life time of stuff. I am so blessed to have a loving family. Kitty has been staying extra close to me, and she often sits on my lap and purrs. I have been told I have weeks to a few months until I pass to a new adventure. I am so lucky to have this time. I am trying hard to use it wisely. My hospice team are angels on earth. They do pretty well keeping me comfortable. I can get out of my bed and sit in my rocking chair. The chair I used to rock my children to sleep long ago. The chair I rock my grandchildren in now and then. I have my hospital bed table to make eating and drawing comfortable. I have my favorite blanket so kitty and I stay warm. I have just what I need. I am getting rid of what I don't need. All in all things are good. I have made 3 playlists using the songs my friends have shared here. I listen often. You guys are amazing supportive friends. I can't find the words to tell you what you all means to me. That's all for tonight. I will try hard to answer some of the questions friends have asked me in this thread. That shall be my weekend project. Could someone please put a mask on my avatar? I have enough health issues without adding the corona virus into the equation. Mona, head to my house now please, and please bring me some waffle house loaded hash browns and one country ham biscuit as well? I would be so delighted if you appeared at my door ms. Mona the rat could use a mask! If the rat gets sick he may not dance again.... Last Edited by monkeyflower on 01/31/2020 02:36 AM . |
