Everyone goes through their own level of troubles and sometime life looks really dark. Everyone has their own way of dealing with that. But is never a bad thing to reach out if you feel alone or abandoned. That's what we are here for as well. We are not here to judge, but to lend an ear or an arm, share a word, a thoughts or a song.

Our GLP Flower is a very courageous girl and her thread brings out the best in people. The love and encouragement people show here is truly heart warming. The most rewarding we can do for Monkeyflower, is take an example of her courage and use it as motivation to keep believing in ourselves, in the knowledge that there is light, even in darkest times. Not always easy to see, but it is there.

Some can do it on their own, others may need a helping hand. Nothing wrong with that. You are not alone.

I cannot list favorite songs there are too many. For most of the last 2 decades I have not watched TV I feel my days with music, Just because I can! Music is the language of the world.

I have too many favorites to list or even to choose a top ten list, so I understand! I once knew a lady who said she didn't like any music at all and never listened to it. I can't imagine! I hope you have another good night's sleep. You and your family are always in my prayers!

My grandpa sang a perfect tenor. I remember sitting next to him in church as he cried while singing this song.

He was not a perfect man...far from it. He was on the ground in WW2. Volunteered for two extra tours. In spite of his many imperfections, he is my hero.

When you look at the weave, the warp, and the weft of your life and you are comfortable with it. Death is not to be feared. You seem reconciled and will adopt a wry grin. All that matters at this point is making your loved ones comfortable with your passing. Imagine being, without you. That is all that matters if you are going to pass. They will miss you as will we all here, but this is a forum. I mean closer to you.

Your reconciliation may not fit for everyone around you celebrating your life. You have the wisdom to aid them. Help them if you are committed. They will need your help to make sense of death. Help them realize with their real-eyes that you were born to die. As will all of them. Strength in death is a rare gift that you can pass on. Wry grins my friend, wry grins.

Hello again my GLP friends

Hospice can keep a person busy! Lots of hospice visits this week, along with my beautiful granddaughter 2 days this week. My nurse will be here later this morning, as all as the hospice Social Worker and my massage therapist! I

Weirdly, I feel better now than when I began Hospice. My pain and anxiety are well under control and I am (finally) better enough sleep. I am told this is not unusual as there are no more doctor visits, no more hospitals. So no wearing ones well out going all over town for care. The card comes to me. I do feel better. I thank my amazing Hospice team for making sure my needs that only they can help with are provided for.

My family and friends are awesome as well. Food, clean sheets, clean clothing, loving tender care. My occasional moodiness (probably due in part to adjusting to new medication) excused/ignored. They just tell me of course I will be moody at times, I am dealing with so many changes. I really am a lucky flower

Last, but never ever least are all of my friends here at GLP. All of you, my friends have provided me with such amazing loving support! Prayers, words, encouragement, music, kindness, word of wisdom, laughter....and so much more! Thank you

I will check in tomorrow (at least I plan to) and hopefully I will write more here as well. I am finishing up giving away, donating or throwing away belongings. Next I will start working on a book with question about me to answer. Something so my grandchildren will know me better, even the two who are unborn and due in June.

Please remember your kindness and emotional and spiritual support mean the world to me. Thank you. You my frends, make this journey is I take alone, but never ever lonely.
