Hello GLP family

My pain situation is better today, though not great. My rx pain med doses were upped
a bit with the option to use even more if I need too. Got a delivery from Mr. Wizard today. That makes keeping ahead of the pain easier as well.

Today I saw my hospice CNA angel. She helps with hygiene issuses. She will continue to be here, but instead of Monday, Wednesday and Friday she will now be here every other day.


My hospice angel RN will now be here every other day as well. An LPN angel (I have met her twice now) will be here on the days my RN hospice angel is not here. Those are big changes.

These next changes are due to the virus pandemic. To keep myself, my family and my other "non-essential" hospice angels safer and healthy.

I spent much of the day on the phone. My hospice angel Social Worker will now meet with me by phone. The same as will my hospice angel clergy woman.

I will no longer (until further notice) have massage or music therapy.

I have no problem with any of the changes. I will still receive excellent medical care, and will continue to receive med deliveries the same as I always have.

Some time in the next week or so I will have a woman coming in for about 25 hours a week to help my husband care for me, help with house work, laundry etc. She is a friend and we just need to finish up some paperwork and she will begin helping myself and my husband.

For the first time today I needed my husband to help me get out of and back into bed. Instead of being sad about this I choose to be grateful I have such a loving husband. I really am blessed.

My oldest son stopped by to bring more bottled water, some of the really good masks and he hooked me up with Serius Radio. (Not sure of spelling) he also brought me ice cream sundae cups again. He spoils me rotten! He also always " tucks me into bed" with a stuffed animal. I don't need to be tucked in, but I admit I love that he does it. He is a very good son, father and husband. I am very proud my husband and I raised good boys into great men.

That is all for tonight. My pain level is better than it was last night at this time. Thank you Mr. Wizard. I might be back to write more. I never know how well or when I might sleep these days. I mostly consume electrolyte drinks, chicken bone broth (high protein) and ice cream now. Sometimes half a grilled cheese sandwich or maybe a scrambled egg and a slice of toast. Also, nutritional drinks.

I hope everyone is well and safe. I will continue to get my best support and best music therapy here, from my GLP family.

I wish you were too. We have neighbours all around who hide in there houses. This is the first place we've ever lived where we do not know even one neighbour. I don't understand it. But people often confuse the hell
out of me. So many people just don't understand people are supposed care about each other. At the very least why not be kind instead of mean or cruel...sweetest dreams Slone...

Glad to hear you are in less pain. This is good news.

As long as the quality of your healthcare doesn't decline, I understand that this virus situation is making many changes necessary. I hope it won't be for that long and everything will get back to normal asap!

Hello GLP family

I just received word no hospice nurse for now. Maybe 2 or 3 days. My hospice angel nurse's son is at the hospital with a fever. So she will be unable to visit for 48 hours of more. She is order me meds though. The meds will be here surprisingly soon. Anyway, I am woke from my nap and now will read GLP for a while.
