I used to work 60-70 h weeks and gave up the idea of dating, because there wasn't any time.

If you work 9 to 5, you've got plenty of time. Short evening dates during the week and then you've got all the weekends.

The worst that could happen is that you lose the girl and the job. Most likely you'll keep one of them. In the best of worlds, you get both.

Jobs are a dime a dozen. Hot girls are perhaps one in 500 that you meet. Getting that 1 in 500 girl is still perhaps a long shot - she might be married and you have to overcome that. Without the effort, what are you living for?

People have managed this scenario for years and years. She will appreciate you wanting to work and understanding that she has to work. There’s nothing instant about relationship building - It’s a marathon not a short sprint. Take the lead and tell her - we work but want to get to know you .

Why is everyone responding as if you two work together? If that's the case, stop. It's probably already obvious you have a crush and that makes the entire office uncomfortable.

More importantly, do not put yourself at risk. If you really say things like "date correctly" when we are into 2020, then you probaly have conversations that can easily be misinterpreted. Do not proceed.

Also, are you seriously complaing about the amount of work hours? Or is it because you each have different shifts? If you need part time hours just to date someone, it's amazing how you function.

This is why it's almost impossible to start any relationship unless you were introduced by someone you trust, or you work together or go to school together. Meeting randoms never really gets anywhere unless you have constant and repeated meetings. That's why ruling against coming on to co-workers or schoolmates is just wrong.

If I can get a chick from work, it's worth loosing a job. School is a bit more critical since they have title 9 enforcement by feminist female administrators with a grudge against guys.

That's not good enough unless you can pull a chick to make a family with. That usually happens either at work or at school. There's nowhere else today to get the level of repetitive closeness that can start a real relationship.
