They have to accept you in order to appear to have "diversity", even though they probably wish you'd go away. When your on their mailing lists and at their meetings, you get to find out all the opportunities that guys will never hear about. They also have recruiters from large companies and others trying to recruit girls rather than real engineers - again for this stupid "diversity" bullshit. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78298213 If they reject you and your qualified, you have cause to sue them in federal court for discrimination. It's even better if your smart and old. anwer (OP) User ID: 78369736 Egypt 01/22/2020 01:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The answer is simple. Just major in what most Amerikan women used to claim as their profession... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77901662 Domestic Engineering I can't say the pay is all that great. But you can almost avoid any math skills whatsoever. 1-it is obvious that i did not say that i want engineering without math nor i said that i am bad at math it is clear that i only meant that i just don't like too much complicates math thus i prefer to study the engineering branch with the less math 2-it seems that most or all males that i encounter are dumper than women and this is obvious in your responses because you understand that i want to know "the engineering major with no math" not that i want to know "the engineering major with the less math" and this stupidity is far worse than woman stupidity 3-you have united and fight against me by millions just because you where jealous of me because i was a free minded, human and a areal man while you was and still brainwashed, programed NPCs enslaved by god, government, the system and to the rich whom you live to serve and you was and still capitalist animals who are living to eat each other and work and compete with each other for the natural resources and livelihood so you can mate, reproduce and complete your organic life cycle as your Instinct dictate and your females was and still feminist man-looking sluts and your males was and still feminist liberal cuckold and fagggot who don't criminalize that women work like man or have sex outside marriage and who mostly have weak or moderate sexual manhood(jealousy/desire) 4-judging someone with what he is forced, pushed or tricked to be is unjust judgement, and i don't give a fuck about the unjust judgement of my enemies 5-things like math skills, work and even physical strength "could" be "parts of manhood" but not "manhood" -physically, manhood is just Masculinity and being a physically straight male, you don't have to enlarge your body and your muscles with hormones, steroids and the gym or having big silly mustaches to show people that you are a man, if you did not notice a lot of homosexual males do that spiritually, manhood is the energy of fire element and the energy of the fir planets (sun, Jupiter and mars) and inside males -emotionally, manhood is the size and the strength of the straight sexual desire the male have -socially, manhood is patriarchy and the authority/dominant a male want to exercise over women and you don't have to work in any job even if you did not need money or even if it was a shitty job that is lower than your class to be a man, if you did not notice most of women now work normally like a man 6-if you where men as you claim you would understand that women are supposed to stay at home and don't work not without a reason and not only because they are stupid and weak but mostly because real man feel sexual jealousy when his women mingles with foreign men in his absence 7-as usual you are perceiving reality as you want to see it not as it actually is the dark side of the force be praised. I AM SORRY IF I DIDN'T Responded TO YOUR COMMENT THAT HAPPENS BECAUSE I HAD ENOUGH WITH ALL Bullshit, INSULT AND PHYSIOLOGICAL ATTACKS from MY ENEMIES |

I am a civil engineer, but I graduated in '92. Back then it was tough. Half the kids dropped out in the first 6 months of the program. Half of the remaining kids never graduated or finished the program dropping out over the next 3 years. Today with the diversity quotas and the mandatory female student/grad numbers, they've watered it down and created fake engineering disciplines like Ceramic Engineering and Environ Eng so women can feel good about planting flowers. no its fucking not ghey-ass. im a ChemE. Every EnvE I know did undergrad as CHemE and their MS in Environmental Engineering. The supervising environmental engineer (dude) at my facility is an incredibly fucking sharp guy. Way better than the process engineers. Environmental Engineering is the inevitable consequence of having so many regulations regarding waste characterization and management. for OP: without a doubt the easiest branch of engineering is civil. just look at that dumbass all women construction team whose bridge collapsed as soon as it was finished. These girls actually got a degree and you saw what came of the degree. the hardest branch is electrical or mechanical. I guarantee you could get a job in the states as a process control engineer (chemical) with about $150,000 as your salary. you would just have to find someone to sponsor your H1-B. |

They really don't need preferences in hiring. They number far less than the percentage that the diversity idiots want. Because they can't get enough real female engineers, they give special preferences in hiring and extra information to the female students and potential female engineers. There's no such group as "Men in Computing" or "Men of ACM" - but there are female equivalents. Women work as a hive and can be a dangerous power group. Men are solitary by nature compared to women. Let's face it - the type and intensity of mental work involved in good engineering is not appealing to most women at all. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75667822 Takes a LOT MORE ability than a doctor, who mainly goes by scripts and pharma incentives. This is true. I've studied both. The difference is that the engineer has to mentally perform a great deal of work on relatively little data(or it's all iterative), whereas the doctor has massive data and relatively little in the way of data manipulation. The medical field is largely a data gathering function and doing a best fit to a database. That, and of course, the manual skills of surgery and other hands on techniques. In both cases, lives may be at risk. In the case of the engineer, vast amounts of property and dollars can also be compromised. |

The common reality is that it's calc intensive. This is both in the product design(electronics and magnets) and in the computational processing. Other areas are generally more logic intensive. |

If I recall correctly from my college days, the easiest engineering degree to get is an Industrial Engineering degree. Do some research and make sure it's something that will interest you though. Believe me, engineering isn't something that you want to pursue just for the money. You need to actually have an interest in whatever type of engineering that you pursue. Otherwise the 40+ hours per week that you work will feel like torture, no matter how much money you're earning. |
