Will "Omaha Beach" break down in Saturdays Pegasus World Cup like "Mongolian Groom" did in Breeder's Cup?
Recent video posted by Mandella "Omaha Beach" owned by Rick Porter-Victoria Keith of Fox Hill Farms (NTWO) National Thoroughbred WELFARE Organization looks grim.

His trainer said himself he is having issues with a piece of his hoof missing and reported last week he had sore hooves.

He specifically says that he had to "glue on" his shoes yet still plans to race him in Florida on Saturday.

Many of you know "Omaha Beach" as the horse that NEVER won the Kentucky Derby, Preakness or Breeders Cup races that make up the Triple Crown let alone all 3 like Gamed horse "Justify".

Over 12,000 of the 20,000 thoroughbreds end up in slaughter houses every year who have never won major races.

Yet despite incredible odds NTWO/Fox Hill Farms managed to somehow sell the "breeding rights" for $22 million to SpendThrift Farms of Public Storage company anyway. How clever.24 hours after the "sale" he scratched (dropped out) of Kentucky Derby 2019 just days before tge race. At that time "Omaha Beach" was favored to win 4-1.

Now Saturdays prize is only $3 million and "Omaha Beach" is done racing retired at 2 years old already after Saturdays race. Why risk it?

If you watch the video you can see the soreness on the back right leg very clearly.

Thoughts...
P.S. i already know the one star bandit and the people who will post shill will hit up this thred. Don't care- not talking to u obviously- talking to those who are paying attention. XOXO

Link to allegations "Omaha Beach" sold his breeding rights for $22 million b4 scratching from the Kentucky Derby.

It says a win in the Kentucky Derby would have increased his value by $25 million. Obviously that did not happen because he did not rsce in it. The prize for Kentucky Derby is $3 million same as this Saturdays Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream Park.

Now about the accusations against the Des Moines police officers Maggi Moss ALSO DEFENDED...

"WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- About nine officers were strip-searched in March after money was missing in a search of a suspected drug dealer's house.

One of those officers was charged with theft Friday, although prosecutors will not say if the charges are related to the March incident.

Former West Des Moines Detective Edwin Gordon was charged Friday with two misdemeanor theft charges, Assistant County Attorney Steve Foritano said.

Gordon is accused of taking a gun and cashier's checks while on duty.

West Des Moines Detective Lloyd Carlson said Gordon is under investigation in connection with items taken from the search of Robert Willson Sr.'s house March 18.

Gordon, 42, resigned this summer after he was placed on unpaid leave. His attorney Maggi Moss said Gordon, scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 16, will plead not guilty.

The strip searches were conducted by the Polk County Sheriff's Office, which was not involved in the search of the house.

One male deputy and one female deputy took six or seven male officers and two female officers one-by-one into a room at Willson's house after a second count of seized money indicated some was missing, Deputy Chief Dennis Anderson said. No money was found.

``Once an officer is (allegedly) doing something like this, the other officers, who have nothing to hide, feel (the strip search is) necessary,'' Anderson said. ``You've got to do something to ensure no evidence is leaving the scene,'' Anderson said.

Willson's attorney, Dean Stowers, said Gordon appears to be a scapegoat.

``Their approach is that (Gordon) is like a cancerous tumor and they have to somehow excise it,'' Stowers said. ``This is their master plan: to take it off the table and now declare that they've cleaned house and now they're clean and pure.''

Stowers said because Willson's house is so small, it's possible other officer saw or knew about the alleged theft.

Stowers said the strip search and criminal charges against Gordon may jeopardize the drug and weapons case against Willson.

Police seized evidence in an earlier raid on Willson's property in January 1997, Stowers said. Gordon signed the evidence sheet in that case.

Police were later forced to return evidence after a judge threw out the search warrants because Willson did not have three theft convictions listed on the warrant applications.

Stowers said some of the evidence in that case was not returned. He refused to be more specific."

NTWO's :horse advocate" Maggi Moss also defended Peta's most hated trainer for animal cruelty allegations, Maggi Moss's own former trainer Steve Asmussen in court against charges he drugged his horses.

"Moss defending Asmussen on lidocaine charge

Here's an expanded version from what you'll read in Friday's Courier-Journal, with comments from the head of LSU's equine testing laboratory:

An attorney for leading trainer Steve Asmussen vowed Thursday to fight the Texas Racing Commission's charge that a 2-year-old filly in his care tested positive for a metabolite of the local anesthetic lidocaine after winning a maiden race at Lone Star Park on May 10.

Lawyer and horse owner Maggi Moss said she feels so strongly that she's making it her first legal case in 1 1/2 years. Moss — who led the nation in victories in 2006 and won her first Churchill Downs title last spring — was a high-profile defense attorney in Des Moines, Iowa, before taking an indefinite leave to devote full time to her racing stable. Her trainers include Asmussen, who leads the country in victories and purse earnings with a massive stable that includes Horse of the Year Curlin. Moss said she hired Karen Murphy, a well-known New York
equine attorney, as co-counsel.

"The biggest problem here is just hitting a brick wall with anyone who wants to find out the truth," Moss said in a phone interview. "... I stepped away from the law; I'm not interested in doing this. But I'm coming back to represent Steve. I hired Karen, and the two of us are prepared to fight this to the end."

Lidocaine, which is present in some hand lotions and over-the-counter topical ointments such as triple antibiotic salve, isn't allowed in a horse's system while racing. It is classified by the Association of Racing Commissioners International as a Class 2 drug, which means it has therapeutic use but also a high potential to enhance performance.

Moss said Asmussen was served by the Texas Racing Commission Thursday morning with a charge that Gainesway Stable's 2-year-old filly Timber Trick tested positive for a metabolite of lidocaine after winning a May 10 maiden race at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie. A metabolite is what is produced after the drug goes through the body.

Thursday evening the Texas commission confirmed the charge for a hydrolidocaine finding. In a release, the commission said Texas has zero tolerance for any substances banned for racing, except the anti-bleeder medication furosemide and the
anti-inflammatory known as bute.

If the Lone Star stewards determine there's been a violation, the penalty under
Texas law is a fine ranging from $1,500 to $2,500, a suspension of six months to a
year and loss of the race purse. Moss said she will ask for a continuance of the July 18 hearing date before the stewards.

She charged that the commission denied Asmussen's requests to have the blood sample also tested, to quantify the amount of the substance and to let half of
both the blood and urine samples go to Louisiana State University’s lab for"

OP,you got way too many things wrong in the post.

You're doing the right thing, but you're not the best messenger.

Omaha Beach didn't run a race until he was 2.25 years old.

He is currently 3.75 years old.

Omaha Beach had proven himself after the Arkansas Derby, and that's when they should have sent him to the stud farm.

He was scratched from the Ky Derby wisely.

The bloodline on this horse is amazing, and any owner would have scratched it if there was any doubt about its stability.

You need to focus on the low-end of racing - the "shit" tracks, where purses are less than 20k.

That's where the real abuse is going down.

Because the horses have drugs including meth in them, the Humane Society says they are "toxic" but if you like hardcore drugs in your meat eat up they are most likely served in fast food, dog food and pizza sausage anyway.

"Is horsemeat safe for human consumption?

No. U.S. horsemeat is dangerous to humans because of the unregulated administration of numerous toxic substances to horses before slaughter.

In the U.S., horses are raised and treated as companion animals, not as food-producing animals. Unlike animals raised for food, the vast majority of horses sent to slaughter will have ingested, or been treated or injected with, multiple chemical substances that are known to be dangerous to humans, untested on humans or specifically prohibited for use in animals raised for human consumption. Horses are gathered from random sources at various stages in their life, and there is no system in the U.S. to track medications and veterinary treatments given to horses to ensure that their meat is safe for human consumption. Due to concerns about the health threats of drug-laced horsemeat, the European Union (EU), a primary importer of North American horsemeat, suspended horsemeat imports from Mexico—where 87 percent of horses slaughtered for export to the EU are of U.S. origin. EU authorities made the decision after a series of scathing audits that exposed a plethora of problems, including the lack of traceability of American horses and horrific suffering on U.S. soil and in Mexico.

Re: Will "Omaha Beach" break down in Saturdays Pegasus World Cup like "Mongolian Groom" did in Breeder's Cup?

Thoughts...

Better to die racing than to be sent to the Mexican slaughterhouse, where his guts would be cut out of him while he's still alive

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77010971

I do focus on the shit tracks AND Santa Anita and the Louisiana fairgrounds where 4 horses died in 6 days last week.

Since O.aha Beach's owner Victoria Keith of Fox Hill Farms harass me and dox me and ADMIT IT publicly they are going to be scrutinized more closely. Especially the $22 million payout they received for an allegedly LAME horse.

If bloodlines mattered Winx's half brother would not have been slaughtered in South Korea. Winx won 33 horse races straight in Australia.

We have helped rescue grandchildren of "Triple Crown" winner "Seattle Slew" named "Tribute's Flag" and "Dusty Savanelli" from kill pens. "Secretariat's" offspring have also been rescued from a killpen.

Furthermore a horses bones do not even fully develop until a horse turns 5 so anything under that age is still a baby. Omaha Beach is now 3 years old according to Equibase I will correct that i am off by a year.

Furthermore who do you think hired NTWO as their spokesperson? The very shit tracks in Louisiana you speak of.

Whose paying them to harass people?
Why was a lame horse sold for $22 million. Not hard to connect the dots.

This is true enough I guess if you want to feel the pain of your leg shattered and ripped off.

But you may be right that may be a better fate then the majority of the horses get detoxing from drugs on a long hot ride crammed together with no water to mexico where they are killed brutally.

However, I do not think a horse should have to endure EITHER fate.

Particularly since track workers from the 80's in California claim to NEVER have seen a break down in the 2 years they worked there so I KNOW this can end.

Also, if this horse does break a leg, it most likely WON'T be humanely euthanized since it is already allegedly sold for stud for $22 million and is supposed to retire after Saturdays race, so it's fate is either retire now, or possibly break down on Saturday.
