Wow, the narrative being pushed in that RPI article is disturbing. One has to have traveled to China, or have been in "prolonged contact" with an infected person? This reminds me of the narrative that TPTB have been pushing regarding Lyme disease, for decades now, completely denying the seriousness of the pandemic (Lyme IS a pandemic.) Difference is, COVID-19 kills quickly, whereas Lyme is a slow, agonizing demise for most of us who have it.

Everyone should stock up on NAC. Wouldn't hurt and may help.

H5N1 influenza, or bird flu, is a lethal and potentially pandemic infection that produces the massive release of inflammatory mediators aptly called the “cytokine storm.”24 Other more common forms of influenza also act by triggering massive cytokine releases that inflame vulnerable lung tissue. In early 2010, it was discovered that NAC offers dual protection against bird flu. It inhibits both virus replication and expression of pro-inflammatory molecules in cells infected with H5N1 virus, holding out the promise of effective protection in the event of a global avian flu pandemic.13
Potent Influenza Protection.

Being cooped up in an aluminum tube for hours with people coughing is disconcerting enough with the Wuhan Flu, but think about that TSA agent's gloves, which has felt up hundreds of people.

My daughter has been diagnosed with the flu few days ago and my grandson. She went to urgent care. She wasn't sure if she had a fever. She was coughing really bad, sore throat and said her heart was racing, chills and felt like she was going to die. She said test didn't confirm flu but doctor said he could look at her and tell she had it. Gave her tamiflu. She had rough few days but slowly got better and is still not 100 percent. Son few days after woke up with fever with no other symptoms. He went to urgent care as well and tested positive for flu. He seems to feel fine after one day. She was reexamined at same time as son and was told she had bronchitis and given antibiotics. I would think it was the flu but would be worried since flu test showed negative and they didn't do corona test. Since grandson tested positive for flu pretty sure I shouldn't worry and that's what she had even though test didn't confirm. Scary to think some doctors would probably just assume flu would it could be corona in some cases.

I went to the health center yesterday and there were lots of people coughing and sniffling in the waiting area. Nobody was wearing face masks and nobody was wearing hazmat suits. Nobody is panicking and nobody in this town is talking about Corona virus... Southern NM here...

In addition to the link that Nawty posted earlier from the old FluWiki, I highly recommend that everyone get their hands on a copy of Carla Emery’s Old Fashioned Recipe Book, which is a treasure of information on off-grid living (like our great grandparents would have lived), as well as When There Is No Doctor. I like having books rather than relying on the Internet. Books don’t go down in a storm, and can’t get turned off, censored or hacked. There are many other books I could recommend, but start with those two...your life may depend on it very soon.

Doctors can only go by what the CDC recommends. That is changing now, with more testing of CoV if the flu is testing negative. If Tamiflu worked for her, it was probably some virus other than CoV. The Tami doesn't work on CoV.

Hope they get better soon.

Agreed. Books are essential.

I like the Joy of Cooking, by Rombauer and Becker. It has a whole How To section on dressing animals like deer, chickens, squirrels, etc, and recipes for the wild game. Besides the game section, the rest of the recipes are good to excellent.

Where There is no Doctor and Where There is no Dentist are 2 good books for if things get really bad.

The Way Things Work, Vols 1 & 2 for a SHTF scenario and you might have to rebuild civilization one day.

But, this is hard core prepping.
