ok so I've been monitoring the situation now for the the last 48 hours and I don't get the headlines all over the net "china plans on building new hospital in 6 days, 2nd hospital to be built too" Lots of PR coming out of China about building these new hospitals in record time.
Watching the videos of all the equipment doing grade work site prep for the new hospital location is freaking crazy.
I move dirt for a living and that dirt show needs about 10 D8 dozers pushing hard with many gravel trucks dumping and you would have a new pad in 12 hours. They have few dozers and about 45 track hoes stacked on top of each other rubbing and swinging dirt around looking like they're playing in a giant sand box. Staged show for cameras in my opinion
So my question for all you guys and gals here:
if this is such a crisis and the chinese need facilities and bed space for the sick immediately what in the hell are they doing building a new hospital from ground up and not just taking over a stadium and parking lot or huge hall or a new empty factory and dropping a couple thousand beds and all the temporary infrastructure for MASH unit care center?
Why the dirt work?
Why no huge military mobilization from the chinese?
If this is the crisis that the president of China Xi describes I would think we would be seeing a massive military response from air and land.
Helicopters everywhere, huge convoys, Military cargo planes on tarmac
etc etc. but nothing. Just roadblocks, police at transportation hubs, white suits, some people falling over and some long lines in the hospitals.
One more observation I've made is if the hospitals are so full why do we see ambulances picking people up in front of the apartment buildings and on the road? If there is no beds I would think there would be no reason to pick any of the sick up.
