cash can be a transfer mechanism of the virus

bacteria and virus cant survive on silver which is why it is the worlds most perfect money

That's awesome! Thanks.

A silver coin is antibacterial and in ancient times and not so ancient they would put a coin in their water crock to purify it

Personally I believe that’s where the tradition of tossing coins in the fountain cam from - that’s the public water supply!

It DID give the town or village good luck

I don't see a bank just letting you take out 50 grand for no apparent reason, so just trying would probably cause waves, helping to trigger said panic.

Anyway it's probably safer in the bank, and if society completely collapsed, money would only be good for starting your cooking fires with, anyway.

What? I'm pretty sure they have to give me my cash.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4781216

It will take time.....a cash withdraw over a few thousand will take time cuz the bank doesn't have it on hand....a sizable withdraw may even flag you for questioning.....this ain't your daddy's banking system...

Y'all must be in tiny towns. I can go through my wells Fargo ATM and withdrawl $1,000 cash daily. Have withdrawn 8k on numerous occasions, no questions asked

Not buying it

Most ATM’s only have $4000 in them

We get questions for withdrawing a few thousand to buy a used truck

We have an outlying Village - the ATM gives out $10 bills - I kid you not!

When I went to Florida and took out $200 and got 2 $50’s and a $100 Bill - I had never seen that !

Re: Should I remove my 50 grand from the bank and stash the cash now? SERIOUS QUESTION
If the money is long term savings then I'd leave half in the bank. Take the other half and spend all but 3k on physical silver or gold. Preferably 1 oz. Coins.

Take 2k and pay some bills ahead such as mortgage and utilities.

Spend the last thousand on the every day things you use in your home. Staple foods that you would normally eat in the coming months. Detergent. Toilet paper. Etc.

Now you are well diversified. You have basic preps in place. You'll lose nothing along the way. Indeed if you sell the PM at a future high you'll turn a profit.

Re: Should I remove my 50 grand from the bank and stash the cash now? SERIOUS QUESTION
Banks don't have to give you chit.

Get rid of the cash bills.

I hear Obama passed a fraud law that says all "money" is supposed to go digital on Jan 20, 2020. That was last week.

I would suggest you buy gold in small coin amounts like 1/10th ounces so you can hide it in the ground somewhere, so you can get at it, to trade it for commodities. Or you can add a few bags of junk silver for trading.

All bills $100 and larger can be seen from satellites in the sky through your house. Even in a safe. Not good to have big bills in stacks. Money is marked.

If you have that much extra cash I would really stock up on necessities now toilet paper, shampoo, soap, canned foods, rice, beans, bottled water, batteries, flash lights, firewood

If something happens things are going to close, prices are going to rise, things are going to be cut off

also I would just get some face masks and some gloves and hand sanitizer to have

They won’t let you. Take $4,000 out, then every 8 days get a few thousand more.

That is called structuring and will draw nearly as much attention.

BUY precious metals with it ... using your credit card - they can't stop you from making purchases ... and fiat money won't be worth anything ...

buy less than ten thousand dollars worth at a time ... from several different Mints ... you will have your PM in your hands in a few days ...

“Serious question” so you use terms like “Flu Manchu”.
Which is why intelligent people WON’T take you seriously.
