weird.. because dogs who play with or bite or eat live frogs, can end up foaming at the mouth when the frog releases poisons. some dogs have died.

seems like it would affect humans the same way.

theres a few notable differences between dogs and humans.

humans have a longer digestive tract, more stomach acid, and our mouths secrete enzymes that help digest food we eat before it even gets swallowed. because we have been eating starch so long.

not advocating eating live raw animals, but we are built differently than dogs, we are true omnivores, canids arent.
