Oh thank you so much. I lost all my links when I made the move from New Zealand to NC. This is the one I have missed the most. I greatly appreciate the link. hf

I knew something bad was going to happen (Peru earthquake). I know this may sound kooky, but I listen to nature. There's a certain feeling of uneasiness I can sense...it's in the wind, the birds and the trees.

Bugs, that is not odd at all.

When I lived in NZ we could always tell when a quake was about to hit... particularly in Napier (Hawkes Bay), the wind would stop, if there was one. The place would go extremely still. the birds would stop singing. Often it would become very humid... and of course the cats, dogs, and other small animals would go crazy,

There are a number of people who are feeling that same undefined anxiety that you are at the moment.

It is almost as though one does not know where to put oneself or what to do... One goes from one chore to another but not actually getting anything done. Restlessness frequently goes along with the anxious feelings.

I have found, that the best thing to do, is to simply acknowledge to yourself that this is how you are feeling and be good to yourself. Try to do something that makes you feel good, whether that is merely sitting for 5 and having a cup of tea, coffee... or a glass of wine.

It does not alter the feelings, but somehow makes them more bearable. Hope this helps. :)

yeah thanks Gooder, I am very aware of who and what we are. Spiritual beings having a human experience.

Earth labouring was merely a metaphor for the upheavals Gaia is currently experiencing... do you have to be so literal?

And frankly from where I sit, I do see her as labouring...and about to enter second stage, where all one wants to do is push that damned kid out. ;)

thought people could check in with any "symptoms"

on my own part all day my ears have been "stopped up" as if I needed to be contantly holding my nose and popping them.

They are much worse now...so I asked my partner if his ears were bothering him...he doesn't know why I asked.

He said, yes they are hurting, I think I need to go to the doctor.

Up where we live, ...no storms.

yes, thank you 673...

It has been my experience that when the ears feel 'blocked' what I am actually picking up on are pressure changes, a precursor to quakes... sometimes it can really hurt.

I'll be honest with you, I'm one that knows a storm is coming, I feel it in my bones. Knees ache as the barometric pressure changes...and if it's a big change I'll sometimes get a headache but I KNOW a storm is coming.

I was reading all this thread yesterday...well to be honest wondering how people could have symtoms without being able to (for instance) walk over to a barometer and say..AH that's why I have a headache.

Today at the office I found myself popping my ears by holding my nose...remembering this thread I asked my boss how she was feeling. She said she had a bit of a headache and her ears were ringing.

HUMMM

Later tonight I casually asked my parnter how HE was feeling and he immediatly complained that his ears were killing him and he felt he needed to see a doctor. (He's a bit of a pain pussy)

There are no storms coming, we live far from any coast...and we are not THAT close to a fault line, however, should the fault we are near experience a break, we will be horribly affected.(New Madrid.)

I am curious how long before an event these syptoms last. For a regular storm it's normally mere hours and clears up after the storm moves throught. I am mystified about he ear popping without a storm and how it might relate to earth changes, I like to understand things, so if someone can explain it I'd love to hear it.

Hi 673, sorry for the delay in response... I have been away all day. You asked how long before the event the symptoms last? Well the short answer is, that it varies from person to person. For me it usually is 2-4 days, however, on occassions it is immediately before a quake or solar flare, and on the very rare time up to two weeks prior.

And if you were to poll a number of people on how they were feeling, as you did with your boss and your partner, then you would find that a large percentage of people have some symptom or another, but they either ignore it, or think it is a symptom of something else, or just brush it off.

I hope this helps a little :)

Cheers

UGH!

Soreness/pain in my neck and shoulders, headache, drowsiness, feeling of anxiety and, oddly, what sounds like a far off ringing sound or tone. (Kinda like a warning siren)

All have remained for several days now.

I dunno, maybe I'm just weird...

Re: Thread for those with earth sensitive symptoms (a list of symptoms on pg 2)
Well...

one of the coolest/most useful threads I've seen in a long time on this or any other boards. Thanks all & Marianne.

So, my scoop is that for Monday and Tuesday of this past week, I was preoccupied with the idea of EARTHQUAKE... so much so that I was making survival preps! Skipped work, even! Thought - fuck it, something's going down, I'm going to do what I can... not sit under fluourescent lights in an office. The preceding two days (weekend) found me lethargic and yet mentally restless.

oh yeah, not to mention experiencing VERTIGO, which I have NEVER, ever experienced!!! [ as I've never been the delicate Scarlett o Hara 'oh my, I must take a lie-down' type of individual. ] But, a few times all of a sudden balance would depart for a few seconds, like the earth was swaying.

On Monday/Tuesday, my strong urge was to get out out out out of the city.

Roommate had migraines, felt crappy too.

On Tuesday the SUNSHINE looked different to me here in N. Cali - i.e. the color/tone of the sky. I posted a thread about it - more intense, strong white-light, and a wintry clarity to it, almost like a veil of protection was gone. This continued throughout the week. Solar flare? I'm still a little vague on all that kinda stuff. There was also a thread here on that, that got me worked up.

So - also lots of anxiety Monday/Tuesday, so much so that my partner had to talk me down from 'trying to control things'/'predict the future'/'save civilization'/'outmaneuver Death'... so after a good talk and cry I was feeling a little more even-keeled. I decide to go to work the next day - AND attend a Satsang... those of you who know what that is will understand why I felt the call to attend. The whole existential anxiety thing coming to a head.

so that evening after satsang, get a call from a family member of the EARTHQUAKE in South America... get this, I have FAMILY TIES IN THAT VERY REGION.

I was both surprised (on one level) and not surprised (at another level) at this news... Feeling a bit more balanced now... had a great night on the water the other night, looking at the sky and stars and socializing w/ good company. What medicine that is.

Ha, I usually don't share this much; but if these experiences are timely, relevant and useful to people, which I sense that they are, then let's let it all out.

cheers all

Stiill having bouts of pain on the left side of the head. They seem to coincide mostly with aftershocks in Peru. Quite different than the staggering to one side and acute anxiety I had before the Indonesian quake. No birds and Cicadas very loud. Insects running in circles on the pavement. I am in Nebraska.

Forever Midnight. It is very cool that you obviously noticed all your symptoms and were able to correlate it with what was happening. :)

I want to thank all of you who are participating in this dicussion. It was important to me to start it, as I totally remember how it was for me once I started to recognise what all my weird symptoms meant, and that i wasn't going crazy.
I felt that there would be many of you out there, who in one way or another could relate.

Today is not particularly a good day for me.. sickish headache, so I am heading off to bed again to try and sleep it off. Sometimes that helps, but usually not until the quake happens.

Thanks all.
Marianne

I fight the vertigo off and on get some relief by using pressure points on the skull. still no birds this morning...as I sit outside literally I see no birds and usually, since my patio faces the woods that begin feet from the patio I have lots of birds, that's why I like to sit out here. Even my humming birds which will feed at my feeder all day even when I am just feet away are only making an occasional trip to the feeder, normally it is non-stop. Cicadas loud....not even any birds of prey. Weather overcast...a slight breeze.

The thing is, with all the quakes on the map yesterday, shouldn't this have eased up?

no ease in sight, yet. Good point about the birds... Normally I have heaps around my section, I live in the country. I have not seen one this morning... hummingbird, cardinal, or any type... I have been outside walking the dog, usually i see plenty. Doubtless they are around somewhere, probably I am simply not seeing them.

Now I am heading back to bed.. the dog has done his thing, so he will be fine for a few hrs. Later all.

I've a curious ache and it's not carpal tunnel syndrome... I've noticed it once before but did not associate it with anything at that time. The bones in my forearms ache. Strange, yes, but that's what it feels like. Been like this all day so I will keep a nose to the news to see if anything transpires... if not, then I'll chalk it up to weary old bones.

I'll keep you posted... especially if the sinus pressure returns (at least that what it felt like before).

Great thread M! Let's keep it bumped up, because deep down I feel that we'll be getting more large releases soon.

Good morning 473... weird using numbers.. hahaha...

I have experienced this aching.. it was particularly strong and painful the night of the quake. In fact, it was so sore I asked hubby to massage it for me. I have never experienced pain like that one before.

Edit to add: I forgot to say that I am in full agreement with you over the releases to come.

Actually, I have to say that since I have been living in the states I have had different symptoms to what I used to experience in New Zealand.

For example... Last night, the hubby and I were watch the boob tube... Ghosthunters actually, and I suddenly began to experience an energy running directly through my entire body... sort of a tingly, electric feeling... not at all painful. I mentioned it to him, as this was one I had not experienced previously.. and then thought nothing more of it, even though it was still happening.

About 30 minutes later... hubby took the dog out to pee and came back in saying that he could see what looked like silent explosions happening in the sky in the far distance.
It was still twilight, not yet dark and there were no clouds in the sky.. I looked and could see them as well. It was very strange, but then we heard the very distant rumble of thunder and saw clouds starting to roll in overhead.. So we went inside...

Within another 10 minutes we were experiencing a very intense dangerous thunderstorm, with heaps of lightening hitting the ground all around us... and rattling the house with each thunder stroke.. Winds gusting up to 60mph..

The storm lasted about an hr.. It was brilliantly spectacular to watch.. although hubby preferred to stay in a sheltered place while it was all going on.

We do not get storms like that in New Zealand, so to experience the awe and beauty of Nature first hand is something else.

So, after being so longwinded, the point of this all is.. that my body must have picked up on the building electrical charges approx 30 minutes before we became aware of the storm heading our way.

One other thing that I have noticed with electrical storms, is that they make me extremely nauseated. I am not at all scared of them.. in fact the opposite.. they invigorate me... But my physiological response to lightning strikes is nausea... I presume it is something to do with the electrical build-up... and a new experience for me..

Does anyone else have those sort of symptoms with electrical storms??

Martina,

Hi Nice to see you. You can repost it here if you wish.. Thanks for the heads-up...

I love it here in NC.. vastly different from NZ. But it has its own kind of beauty, and I live in the country so am away from the madness of Charlotte... :)
