I don't believe it. Wuhan is a mega city and if it was shut down then no plane would be flying into, loading up with new passengers and flying out again. Just what you would expect on the Chinese New Year.

Where did they go?

An Associated Press analysis of domestic travel patterns using map location data from Chinese tech giant Baidu shows that in the two weeks before Wuhan’s lockdown, nearly 70% of trips out of the central Chinese city were within Hubei province. Baidu has a map app that is similar to Google Maps, which is blocked in China.

Another 14% of the trips went to the neighboring provinces of Henan, Hunan, Anhui and Jiangxi. Nearly 2% slipped down to Guangdong province, the coastal manufacturing powerhouse across from Hong Kong, and the rest fanned out across China. The cities outside Hubei province that were top destinations for trips from Wuhan between Jan. 10 and Jan. 24 were Chongqing, a municipality next to Hubei province, Beijing and Shanghai.

Good news, a large portion of them made it safely to central Ohio. There is an explosion of non-english-speaking Chinese fucking EVERYWHERE. I’m even seeing tons of them in BFE and in Amish country. It looks an awful lot like Red Dawn around here lately. Way to go securing that border Orange Judas.

Fox news keeps bringing up 5 million and non stop flights too and from China from Nov-Jan. And the coronavirus outbreak started in Nov. They locked down their military and police but not their borders, nor warned the world, nor warned their own people until it was full fledged in Jan.

They are responsible for everything on a legal level. It makes no difference who might have released it. Its what you do when you discover its released that counts legally and in matters of lawsuits and liability.

I looked it up, they have like a million to three million travelers a day, on a standard day.. 1-2 million at the main airport, then many at the other airports.. and that's not even discussing the train travel stats.

I can really believe 5 million people bailed in 1 day.. they have the transport for it. Can you imagine NYC trying to bail like that?
