They baptized people on the spot, if interested, and it was in the name of Jesus Christ as per Acts . They did not baptize in the name of Father Son Holy Spirit. I was baptized as a child. And it like came into me. And I was flooded with this heat and it was so powerful. ....days later I was seeing visions and experiencing demons. Eventually the wierd stuff stopped happening and now I’m just back to living life and trying to do good and encourage others who are down. But What was this experience? I am sane. There was something about the way he looked at me when I first entered the church that made me think something was off. Demons Definetly could of been transferred. I experienced some crazy stuff for a good two weeks after this happened. But then I somehow stopped it from effecting me. Most likely just God helping me out of a situation way above my head. |

When I was first saved in a Pentecostal church I was under spiritual attack more and I had a absolutely terrifying sleep paralysis expietenve expierence...i was awake tho,,not sleeping, horrifying...something evil was coming for me down the hall towards the bedroom and I couldn't move..my son was sleeping next to me..this was broad daylight ...i called out the name of Jesus Christ in my mind and it all stopped...i wasn't sleeping I was awake...i could see a shadow of this thing coming closer...could be you are under attack because you are now the enemy if you are truly a spirit filled person....im still under attack til this day.....25 years later...nobody would believe the crazy shit that's plagued me if I told them. |

A lot of them come out of the old tent revival movement from back in the 20s and 30s when spiritualism was rampant. A lot of those old traveling ministries were like a carny act in a way and they often used the tricks and techniques of old stage magicians, mentalists and hypnotists to help their congregation achieve a real feel for the spirit. At the same time even if the preacher did use some tricks or not, it did seem to trigger a real spiritual phenomenon later. Your visions and experiences sound a lot like what happens when ones ajna chakra; the third eye chakra gets spontaneously activated and the veil is lifted. |

Years ago, I was at a bank withdrawing money at the desk, and a large African woman in full garb (and wearing a turban) came up and put her hands on me, saying things to me while the teller was trying to count the money out.
