A 41 year old relative of mine was shot and killed by a guy who looked like the thief. Car-jacking.

Guy wasn't caught right away, but three months later, two cops saw someone who looked suspicious. One cop asked him to step outside of a store they were in. The guy pulled a gun, killed the cop and drove away. He was caught.

The girlfriend told everything....how the guy, who killed the cop, also killed two other men. One was my relative.

Perp was arrested, found guilty at a trial, was put on death row. Oh....but they gave him A NEW TRIAL! Why? Because he said it was self-defense....that the cop pulled his gun first!

Well....this is what goes on in the courts. They give these blacks all the breaks they can give them! That's why they think they can get away with this crap! Read their criminal history next time one of them makes the news. They're almost always repeat offenders who were in prison a few times but let go.

This wasn't in someones private residence it was a business establishment and there were no lives threatened the guy just wanted the cash.

The Bible is trying to make clear that killing in self-defense is allowed, "no guilt" if the thief is killed at night and the homeowner does not know, because of the darkness, if the thief is a threat to his life or not. During the day, killing an unarmed thief is not excusable if it is clear his no threat to life.

And yes the only arguable threat would be the cashier's life was at stake.

To which still begs the question, whether that guy had the right to take preemptive action without knowing for sure, or not doing anything and hoping the robbers just left with the cash.

Then you could say, 'he might have prevented someone else from being robbed and shot', which is also true of course.

But when do we ever have the right to ordain the future of peoples lives?? Only the devil tries to do that.

Another scenario is that the robbers would've walked away and been killed by another gang , or arrested and actually have criminal charges put against them and a chance to redeem themselves, even if unlikely.
