Are YOU STILL EATING TAKE OUT CHINESE FOOD?

I have friends who work for the Chinese government, known them for many, many years. Beijing issued a requirement to all government workers living in the US not to eat food from Chinese restaurants in the US and a warning for Chinese nationals nationals not to eat at US Chinese restaurants.

Its fast service and short lines now,, Going to the Chinese buffet today.. yum-yum eat it up..

I've come to expect that chicken general tso or sesame chicken or whatever mystery meat isn't actual chicken

Bullshit. My mother in law & my wife & I just had chinese takeout. It was better than the last time we ate from there. Food was better, quantity & quality was better, even the packaging was different. Was still $48 for three people, but it was delish.

On a side note, why is it that when I go to chinese restaurant and they're speaking their native language, it doesn't bother me on bit. But when I shop at Sam's club & theres Muslims all around in their hijab costumes (sometimes they're completely covered) & they're all speaking Arabic I get so pissed off. I wonder why that is.

I never liked Chinese food.

Even when I had to travel to Hong Kong/Taipei I would eat Western style food there.

Asian food, my preferences go to Indonesian and Indian cuisines.

Chinese food in US doesn't even taste like real Chinese in China. Just as any Chinese

I was in asda yesterday and was in the line about to unload my trolly onto the belt, I look up lock eyes with a Chinese couple said "nope" turned around and found another line.

It's funny that we eat pounds of bugs over the yrs (in pieces) but are grossed out by the whole bug all at once. I wouldn't want to eat the meal OR that restaurant again either...but still just find it funny.

My favorite Chinese take-out restaurant has a few Chinese speaking only people who work in the back. So not only do I have to worry about the food that is imported but the people too. They are the nicest people and have such awesome food.

I'll be takin a break from it for a little while but I'm also wondering how long this shit sticks to the packaging on stuff from china. Even the stuff that's not packaged like at the dollar stores. The women where my wife works buy stuff from dollar stores all the time for different parties like birthdays. Is stuff really safe and how long does this shit stick and remain active on stuff that's not alive?

Yep. Ordered it last night via Door dash. It's just Americanized food to begin with, there's nothing Chinese about it except the people who sit at the register and the decorations.

I went to the Chinese buffet last week (once a month treat). Waiters are all Asian immigrants.
No Covid-19 at my house, food was delicious, and any bacteria counts were low enough that no one got food poisoning.

The wife and I had sweet-and-sour chicken yesterday.

Our local restaurant employs genuine Chinese people.

It seemed business was slow and they had a
large pump bottle of hand sanitizer on the counter.

If one good thing has come out of this, I have stopped drinking. I was so sick 3 weeks ago I thought I was going to die. Maybe a strain of this flu? We will never know.

What I do know is I can't even look at alcohol right now. It repels me. So my bout with some kind of flu, plus my paranoia about all this has culminated in no alcohol for over 3 weeks.

I look and feel GREAT right now. I was going down a bad path since about November. Hoping to keep up the healthier lifestyle. I have replaced my need to gulp alcohol all night with drinking about 10 different types of tea and sparkling water. I have not felt this good in years.

Really...you're just worried about the food? So you're not worried about the chinese dude that just got back from china whippin you up an authentic chinese meal? I'd be a bit worried if if was a chinese crew in the kitchen at frickin taco bell. Geez people...sometimes.
