Amen! It really was a great time to grow up! Today, it seems like there no “thing” that makes it special. Not the clothes, the music, the haircuts. Like there is nothing that marks these days now as different or special except for maybe the smart phones which are likely destroying kids and people.
Sad to me.
Quoting: Halcyon Dayz Actually, it's worse. What is "special" about the 2000s is best represented by rap music. Although that style of sound goes back decades, it wasn't as much of a default form of music in the past as it is today. Music symbolized by lyrics about hos, n---ers, pimps, sex, scamming, thugging, shooting. A socially, politically liberal society is wonderful and beautiful. Just like rap music is. .
