I'm holding it down in China(expat). Two things about posting here:

1) This is one of the most racist forums on the planet. This thread is no exception. Why would anyone want to subject themselves to that kind of abuse, just to put your minds at ease or feed your doom boners?

2) Living in China is a game of whack-a-mole, where you are the mole. It is not a fun or rewarding game.

That being said...

GLP is a great source of information, as long as you can sift through the Himalayan amount of BS and find useful and actionable posts.

Things in China will not return to normal anytime soon. The empty streets, the fear, the avoidance of public spaces, even leaving your apartment or touching elevator buttons...this was a place I would have compared to the safest and warmest in the world, one month ago. I think this will change for a long time. But as China goes, so goes the world, it is only a matter of time.

Fuck you and your one drop rule.

Hopefully they are all in school learning how to wash their hands and not eat anything that moves.

I saw a livestream of a Russian in Shanghai and this city of 24 million is like a ghost town.

Many many people sick. Can't know how many. Many not very sick just little sick. China very big country, people scared not going to street.

WECHAT..One friend is apparently locked inside their apartment in Beijing. My other friend acknowledges things are bad but the town she is in survives everything. She then gave me a list of all the outbreaks over the years and boasted no one in her town was ever affected. she is coming back to the uk next week.

if no one is going out, how are bills being paid? Or daily life accomplished>
