That is why there are so many naysayers.

From afar, the wave seems ridiculously small and too far to be a threat. People believe that the earthquake, the force of which remains fully unknown, still is localised in a tiny perimeter where life disappear, while few tremors are felt in remote places.

It takes times to approach the shores. More time here and there, according to the distance from the epicenter. But, due to the elevation of the seabed close to the coasts, depending on the relief here and there, the height of the wave will vary according to the places. But at the end of the day, all the coasts will be damaged.

Yes, that could be compared to a wild fire too. But what I see is rather something that suddenly appears very dangerous - a higher wave - once reaching the continental plateau.

Just as in the days of Noah - everyone eating and drinking and making merry, thinking "nothing's happening, nothing is going to happen."

As someone else said - even just the economic impacts are going to be devastating. And now there are rumors that Russia thinks (and so does China some say) that the US might be responsible for the virus. Can you imagine what they, China, would do if they truly believed that?

And I get that we have all been through the false dooms for YEARS here on this forum. But this one truly does feel different to me. I have been saying that the last sign for me will be Betelgeuse - if that thing goes supernova, there will be NO DOUBT in my mind what time it is. Even if it doesn't, I still think we might be there.

But considering that is supposed to create a spectacle in the sky, the likes of which has never been seen since humans were on the earth - well, that would be pretty convincing to me.

My point is to say that people just see the surface - the instant official numbers - while they disregard the seabed changing with time while the wave is running fast toward the coasts...still far enough from the wave for the time being.

Because war is the only move left when the financial collapse, following the economic collapse, takes place.

I think one of the problems with getting people to see what's happening is that (in general) people's attention spans have decreased so much, and this is not happening fast enough to hold their attention.

And, from disaster movies, everything happens really fast and wraps up in a couple of hours.

This is different. It's slow. But it's coming. And many will be caught unprepared. Just as in the days of Noah.

Great observations. Everyone is so used to instant gratification or fulfillment. I don't think most people could conceive of something so massive happening over such a long timescale - long for them anyway.
