One could say that every single esoteric concept and philosophy is contained in those writings.

There's the Emerald Tablet, also attributed to Hermes, from which "As above, so below" comes from. Perennial wisdom, many levels.

I Remember Arnold Erhret had some good books on fasting. Older knowledge as there is much newer discoveries.

And some book called the son of man

I'm wondering if you could provide a synopsis. I'm not "going into the light" upon my passing. Been there, done that, ain't doing it again.

But I didn't know there was more than one light, so if you could enlighten us I'd most appreciate it.

The book associates different lights and forms with the nature of the womb one may enter if attracted to it. For example, if I recall correctly, a smokey grey light indicates birth in a hell realm. The brighter colors are associated with different forms of a Buddha and higher births. It's been a while since I read it. ^ Nice find on the audio.
